First Day of Kindergarten

It's offical I have a kid in the public school which only means one thing...I am no spring chicken anymore! Of course Addie was ready to go and even mad we walked her to the door (Miss Independant). She loved the first day, but was disappointed that they mad her lie down for a little rest. I asked her if she was going to have fun this year and she said "not if they make me take naps everyday!"

And once the camera was out Brynn had to get her candid moment. This was after Brynn got a hair cut (can you tell it was from mom). She did say she wanted to go to school with Addie, but after a day of playing whatever she wanted to do with mom she was not excited to go pick up Addie from school. I am excited to have some mom and Brynn time before the baby is born. Which basically means I will get my fill of barbies and pet shop playing!

Fourth of July and other summer adventures

June and July are a constant celebration at the Winward house.  In a matter of two and a half weeks it's mine, Addies, and Justin's birthday, our anniversay and in the middle of it all fourth of July.  Here's a recap of the two and a half week party we had.

My whole family came up for the fourth of July celebration.  It was a fantastic weekend!

Here are all the grandkids trying to get a piece of grandma

Seven years of marriage to this fine speciman...

And not to be forgotten Brynn found her summer love

Enjoying our downtown

I love downtown Missoula!  They do some great activities there in the summer and we got to enjoy one of their many kids fairs.

Addie and Brynn got to join in on the fun with games and activities.  Here they are trying to eat the fish out of the whip cream.

One of the great things about owning our own business is having control over Justin's schedule 90% of the time.  He rarely misses out on any of the fun the girls and I enjoy!

Huckleberry picking

We did some serious huckleberry picking this year.  We hopped on the four wheeler and journeyed out every night for about a week to pick our hearts out.   The girls put more in there bellies than in there buckets but we got enough to enjoy quite a few huckleberry milk shakes, homemade huck ice cream and even ventured into baking them into a crumb cake.

Summer fun with the Boulters

We love our annual fun with the Boulters!  This year they made the drive from Wyoming to spend a week with us.  We enjoyed some picnics, golf, swim, carousel and as always some good laughs!

Swim Lessons

The girls enjoyed two weeks of swim lessons and I got to enjoy watching them this year.  Last year it was a mom and tot class that Brynn and I took, but me and a swim suit at 7 months prego is not pretty.

Fair 2011

We got to enjoy the western MT fair for a day.  We got our fill of yummy fair food, animals, and rides.

Addison got to enjoy her first ride on a roller coaster.  She was nuts putting her arms up the whole time (she has thrill issues).

Seeley Lake 2011...a little slice of heaven

We are blessed to live by such a beautiful lake and spend a week here every year for our family reunion! This year as every year the water was warm, the food excellent, and the company fantastic!

Addie knee boarded and got up this year. Last year she tried but the arm strength just wasn't there. Good thing I have had her during push-ups prior to the lake!

Justin took the girls on the wave runner and Addie even got to drive!
Dad and Brynn heading out to the dock

Grandma and Brynn enjoying some quality time

The young (and young at heart) trying to sink the dock

Nap time was a must with the none stop fun in the sun

Uncle Jess taking the girls fishing...little did he know they would be coming back with flowers instead of fish

Addie and her cousins, she was sad when we had to say good bye!

Addie got to join in on the nightly game of steal the flag, it took awhile to understand the rules but she did get one legit steal and was so proud!

The manly men got to release some of there frustration on eachother with a few games of paintball

It was a great week and always goes by to fast!
