I Heart Us & Card Captions Card Set

I guess I got busy and forgot to post this set of cards back in January when this CTMH Stamp of the Month, Card Captions, was current.

I used this set for the sentiments, along with bulk papers from the I Heart Us paper packet.

Happy creating!  :)

Make a Wish - Feels Like Home

For this card, I used papers from CTMH Feels Like Home.

The main floral paper is just black, white and grey images, so I coloured the flowers on the patterned paper with blue and green markers, to give it some more depth and interest, although it is really pretty on its own.
I just wanted to add a pop of colour.

For the wreath, I used the Feels Like Home Scrapbooking stamp set, and the sentiment is from a retired M-size stamp called Wish.

Lastly, I added a white ribbon bow and some clear sparkles.

This card feels a little like Spring to me.

Dandelion Wishes Cards

I used the CTMH Dandelion Wishes stamp set to make both of these birthday cards, along with Ballerina and Charcoal cardstock.

The "Make a Wish" sentiment is from the retired Wish, an M-sized stamp.

After I embossed the images with white embossing powder, I coloured the embossed dandelions with a Tender Pink marker.

( I was inspired by a SU card made by Megumi Holland.) ðŸ’•

I also used the Playful Scallops embossing folder for the card above.

For my shaker, I used the Stitched Circles Thin Cuts to create a little smaller shaker, as the Shaker Window Thin Cuts dies were a little too big for the size I needed for this card.

It's Somebody's Birthday Card Set with Something Fierce Papers

I created this fun birthday card set using CTMH papers from Something Fierce, and the It's Somebody's Birthday stamp set.

And I found an online tutorial from PootlesPapercrafts on Youtube for the card box, although I had to make adjustments to the measurements for it to be able to hold my 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" cards and envelopes.

If anyone is wanting the link to the tutorial, along with my adjusted measurements, just let me know, and I can add the info as an update onto this blog post.  :)

Scalloped Birthday Card with Card Captions

I love, the January Stamp of the Month, Card Captions!

You need this set!!!

I made this fun card using this set, along with one of the dies from the Decorative Borders Thin Cuts set, and the patterned paper is from So Much Happy.

I made the scallops stand out even more by bumping them up in the center scallop with 3D foam tape.

Celebrate with Colour Your Life - April SOTM

I used the April Stamp of the Month set, Colour Your Life set for the Celebrate sentiment on this pretty card.

The flowers and foliage are from the Chelsea Gardens Cardmaking stamp set.

Both of these sets are available only until the end of April!!!

I think this card could be used for a birthday or a wedding, or really anything you want to celebrate.  ;)

This card is completely inspired by this one by Charlet Mallett.

Mermaid Birthday Wishes

Here is a cute mermaid card I made with papers from the CTMH Make Waves paper packet.

I have an old piece of clear transparency sheet that I punched some different sizes of circles into.

I used this as an overlay to add White pigment ink to my paper, giving it the bokeh effect, which I think in this case, it works more like bubbles in the water.

And the mermaid was cut out of one of the patterned papers in the Make Waves paper packet.

I added some shimmer to the mermaid with my Clear Shimmer Brush.

And I coloured the Clear Sparkles and Bitty Sparkles with a Marigold ShinHan marker.

Make Waves is available only until the end of April, so get yours while you can!

Bam! A Super Boy Card

The images in this set are just so cute!

And they are a lot of fun to colour.

Super Girl Card

Super Girl... she's so cute!

I used a pattern from the new Make It From Your Heart Vol. 4.

The adorable images are from the new Super Girl Stamp & Thin Cuts dies.

And the papers are from the Make Waves paper packet.

She was a lot of fun to colour with my ShinHan markers.

Warm Birthday Wishes in Pinks

I love this card!

I was inspired by the Close To My Heart special this month called Pretty In Pink.

You can get certain pink themed items at a 30% discount, plus they even created a butterfly mobile craft project that you can order.  How fun is that?

I sponged Bashful, Blossom, and Raspberry onto a piece of White Daisy cardstock to create the colourful background.  Then I used the retired Charming Cascades to white emboss the falling hearts over top.

The heart was cut with the smallest Hearts Thin Cuts die shape from Bashful Glitter paper, and then I sponged Raspberry ink on the lower half of the heart to give it a ombre effect.

The sentiment is from the Sunny Thoughts - February SOTM stamp set.   Certainly a fave of mine right now!

Pretty Butterfly Birthday Wishes

I used a couple of different stamp sets on this card.

The butterfly is from Chelsea Gardens - Cardmaking stamp set.

And the other images are from the February SOTM set, Sunny Thoughts.  (You can get Sunny Thoughts during February for just $6 with a minimum $50 order, or order it without a minimum order for $23.)

The paper I used is from the Gimme Some Sugar paper packet.  Gimme Some Sugar is baking themed, but it works so lovely with this card.

There are actually only a couple of prints in the package with baking images, and it is double sided paper with a completely different pattern on the opposite side.   So it could be used to make a wonderful recipe album, beautiful baking/cooking layouts, and so much more!  I especially love the woodgrain paper in this pack!

Blending Inks Birthday Card

I recently saw a card by Ali Farmer that came up on my Facebook feed, that I loved.

I recreated it using CTMH supplies I had on hand.

(inspired by this card by Ali Farmer)

Fun and cheery!

Stargazer Birthday Card #2

Here is another card I made using the same blending inks technique as my last card I shared.

The stamp set is available just by itself, too.

On this one, I cut the circle out of the the upper center portion of a piece of White Daisy cardstock, and then used 3D foam tape to adhere it to my ink sponged card front.

There are so many possibilities with this set!

Stargazer Birthday Card #1

I played around with blending inks this past Friday to make some fun cards with some of the new products offered in the NEW CTMH Seasonal Expressions catalog.

I tend to go in spurts of things/techniques I like to play with.

So you will likely be seeing more cards from me over the next little while using this technique.

On the background circle (White Daisy cardstock), I blended Lagoon, Sapphire and Pacifica inks with seperate sponges.

The whitish splatters are from blending a little Pearl paint (long retired) mixed with water, and dipping my small paintbrush into it, then tapping the brush handle against the edge of my finger just above the cardstock piece.

I believe you can do the same with the CTMH White Daisy pigment ink re-inker, although I don't have a bottle of it to try it out.  ;)

The adorable little spaceman on my card is from a brand NEW set called Stargazer Cardmaking stamp set.  It is also available to purchase along with the matching Thin Cuts Dies.

The spaceship paper is from the NEW Stargazer Paper Packet.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

And this is the NEW Seasonal Expressions catalog!

You can view it online HERE.

So much fun packed into a little catalog!

Happy creating!  :)
