Amelia's Big Girl Bed

We moved Amelia 2 weeks ago into a big girl bed!  Although we have a 4th bedroom, we decided to let the girls share a room for a few years.  They LOVE it!  Not sure how Scott and I feel about it yet!

Overall, she is doing as well as expected.  The first week was rough with early wake up times and a some middle of the night visits, but she is now getting the hang of it.  She loves to stay up with E and read books in bed.

Below some pics of room before totally complete

Character Camp

A few weeks ago, Eleanor participated in her first Character Camp.  My friend Christine told me about one they did with a group of little boys, so we came up with this one for Eleanor & her friends.  The theme of the week was Fruits of the Spirit.

DAY1: Our house to learn about Love & Joy

We painted with kool-aid so our fruit would smell good :)

Their attention span was about 30 min, then they played dress up!

Our crafts

DAY 2: Mrs. Alycia's house to learn about Peace, Patience, and Kindness
DAY 3: Mrs. Caroline's house to learn about Goodness and Faithfulness
DAY 4: Mrs. Laura's to learn about Gentleness & Self-Control

Working on "gentle sheep" activity and talking about Philippians 4:5 "Let your gentleness be evident to all people!"

Learning to be gentle with the eggs

Working on candy bracelets with each piece of candy signifying a particular "Fruit" the girls had learned about during the week.

This will definitely be a summer tradition.  The girls loved it and so did the moms!
