Little Kai

 This baby makes me happy.

One of her "monster faces"  HA ha ha ha!

Waiting for Abe

July 12th was a very special day.  It was Teagan's birthday and the day her uncle came home from serving an LDS mission in Guatemala.  Teagan was a very gracious birthday sharer and postponed all party plans until the weekend so we could celebrate Elder Durfee's homecoming.

It was a mini little family reunion.  With this many brothers and sisters, how could it not be?  Slowly, one family after another started to file into the Salt Lake International Airport until we were all gathered at the baggage claim with our signs and balloons.

After much waiting and several flight status checks, Elder Durfee stood before an adoring fan club made up of old and young alike.
There were never more sincere hugs given in the lifetime of this red-headed elder.
Teagan even got a little birthday present from this missionary, a little purple bracelet made especially for her from her Uncle Abraham.

Graduation, Whoopee!

Here is the reason I have not been blogging for a while.  Not the actual graduation itself, but the classes and homework that has led up to it.  I'm still adjusting to the "free time". Even now, weeks later, it still hasn't really sunk in completely.
I had to be there a little early (an hour) so this is what the boys do when they're waiting and bored---take pictures of themselves.
I had to post them because they're so cute! ^ Grumpy faces.
I got to shake the hands of Elder Christoffersen (sp?), Elder Holland, and his sweet wife Sister Holland.
Thank yous to all of those who drove from far off places to be there with me.  My Grandma is special and amazing!
My parents had prime seats.  I think I walked by them at least 3 or 4 times.  This pictures is courtesy of Dad's phone.

I'm only half-way through.  I'm taking a break to finish my Young Women calling, the end of which is nowhere in sight (which I'm fine with).  It was getting too hard to divvy-up my time in proportionate and fair increments.  Plus, I think Dave was ready to ride off into the sunset when I left for class most nights.  I have him to thank the most for filling in, counseling, and tutoring.

Morgan's Baptism

I think I'm finally in the saddle again with the blogging thing so now I'm trying to catch up.  Here we are on Morgan's baptism day and doesn't she look thrilled...

Announcing...

I can't believe my baby girl is old enough to be baptized! She wanted to send out invitations but having someone make these things can get pricey. So I thought, hey why don't I save some money and do them myself. So here are the option...what do you think?

Why Catie is the Best.

Dear Catie,
You are the best sister anyone could ever ask for. I have listed a couple of reasons why you are so remarkable:
1. You are so funny, you make me laugh...constantly. I'm actually laughing right now.
2. You are better at the violin than me. Especially flats.
3. You're the best. Period.
4. You watch my kids.
5. You wrote this post, so it must be true.
Love ya, Catie

Halloween Recital

Teagan had her first dance recital last week and she said she was so nervous. I guess she can pull a great game face though because she was smiling through the entire dance. I think she really enjoyed it. The whole recital was put together by the same dance company, Expressions Dance, but all 9 or 10 groups looked like they were made up of girls around Teagan's age. That it a lot of 4-5 year-olds!

She was the best one out there...really...I'm not just saying that because I'm her mom...she was really good...she had the whole dance memorized.

She had to be there 30 minutes before the recital started and then her group ended up performing last so she had to wait an entire hour before dancing. She was great.
