Time with Oma and Opa Williams

Buddy and Claudia came up for Halloween and stayed with Fletcher and Holden for us while Jesse and I went to a hotel for our anniversary. I got a few pictures of them together while we were home.

Opa getting their feet!

Holden blowing on his belly and talking to her when he settled down the teeniest bit...

Fletcher enjoying story time. He was one exhausted kid after such a busy week.

10 Years Together!

Today was Jesse and my 10 year anniversary! (Just saying that makes me feel old!) Where did 10 years really go?! It really is true what "they" say: Time flies!

Since we have spent so many of our anniversaries away from one another, Jesse asked his parents if they would come up to North Carolina to stay with the boys for a night so we could get away to celebrate.

We went to the new Embassy Suites in Fayetteville and we went out to dinner at The Chop House. It wasn't anything huge, but it sure was nice to "escape" for 24 hours. We should do it more often. Mommy needs a sanity break.

I don't have any pictures from the night, but I do have some pictures of the flowers he had delivered!

October Highlights

Here's some more things that went on in October 2013.

The boys enjoyed a wrestle session with their dad.

Holden likes to cruise with his shades.

He also enjoyed driving through his first car wash.

Here's a random picture of him at church.

The kids helped me make train and dinosaur pizzas one night.

The enjoyed some fun fall pancakes one morning.

We relaxed at the house sometimes.

And didn't.

And did again. Ugh...This child.

My friend Mike from the gym let Fletcher hop on one day.

We played with our neighborhood friends. Here's Fletcher with Grayson and Claire.

Here's Fletcher, Aaralyn, Holden, and Sydney.

I even got around to a few things...like organizing my food.

And finally custom framing the cross-stitches my sister made the boys.

And I did some blogging on Learn Like A Mom. I made this spooky spider and created a list of books about spiders. I even discussed leaf rubovers.

Happy Halloween 2013!

These little guys were SO EXCITED for Halloween this year. It was such a fun build up to the big family night. It's really fun to watch and be a part of. This year, Oma and Opa came up to join us for Halloween so they could stay and watch the kids on our 10th Anniversary the following day. (You can see Buddy in the reflection of our storm door trying to get the kids to smile in my direction for the pictures!)

We left a bowl of candy on our doorstep, along with our pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns and took off down the streets (there are only four in our neighborhood) to trick or treat.

First stop: The Allen's where Claire and Grayson hand out candy with Lauren. Then we went up to Kameron's house. We tried to hit every house in the hood with a light on!

We came home, sorted through our candy, and then it was time for baths and bed! Happy Halloween!

Fun at the Library

The library had a little fall festival yesterday, so we took the kids over there in the afternoon to play some games...They are still learning how to do it while following the rules, but nobody seemed to care.

Then today, they had a special Halloween story time where you could come in costume and enjoy some activities after the group time, so I took them over there for that.

Pumpkin Carving Time

So, I think it's fair to say that Fletcher was just a tad bit excited about carving pumpkins this year!

And, Holden was very, VERY interested in the whole thing, especially the guts of the pumpkins!

Jesse did most of the dirty work while I discussed shapes with the kids and drew the faces. Then we all worked together to get the carving done.

The boys are very proud of their creations.

I have to say...They turned out pretty nice!
