hello there.today i went for the first field training for the holidays.and it really reiterated what i learnt during the running trainings,and that is :
i'm fucking unfit. gone were the days of below 10 min 2.4 km runs. where once i could probably do sets of 10 or 20 easily, now they prove a much harder physical challenge.i think, the ability is still there, the skills have not been lost,but damn each dive or jump seems to be using up more energy than what it used to.shit man,just goes to show how much excercise i've been doing since cca ended huh?i hope to find my fitness again.it feels so good to be able to run 2.4km in below 10 min,and still have energy to go on playing.i want to feel that again.
on a lighter note, i went to watch the first leg of the asian world cup 2010 qualifiers 2nd round between singapore and tajikistan (i think that's how it's spelled) with sanjay and naim.yes it was only 3 ppl, but we still managed to generate enough crap and keep entertained throughout the whole match.not that the match was boring. singapore managed to carve out some nice attacks and aleksander duric got 2 goals on his debut,and could have gotten a hat trick had he not toe poke the 1 on 1 just wide. indra sahdan was having a shitty match, and singapore should probably have won by a bigger margin, though tajikistan could have capitalized on their rare attacks and taken shots instead of trying to pass their way into goal.
damn i really really really wanna be fit again.but i'm too lazy to do anything about it.
