I can do it, Mommy. James was determined to do bath time all by himself. As you can see, he took hold of the shower hose and was rinsing off the soap. He would not give me the hose...no matter how I asked. He is such a good helper...especially during bath time.

Yippee Doo...We are 2 (months old)
James and Maggie are two months old and counting. They have have done a lot in their short time...eating, sleeping, rolling over, and supplying "Baby Love" to everyone we know. Who knew "Baby Love" was so great...God knows His stuff and puts a lot of it in the hearts of children. I look at James and Maggie each day and wonder if it is truly possible to love them more than I did the day before?
James has begun to play with rattles...his grip is really tight and once you get him to hold the rattle, he just waves it all over. Maggie is not too fond of the rattle right now, she has more of a dainty grip and would rather hold your hand.
We went to the Dr for their 2 month check up and shots on October 20th. James weighs 11lbs 11 oz, 23 1/4 inches and Maggie weighs 11lbs and 6oz, 22 3/4 inches. Maggie may be older (by a minute) but James is definitely BIGGER! They were champs with the shots, while Mom had to be consoled by Paw Paw; however it was good night sweetheart once we got home, as Maggie slept most of the afternoon.

The Great Pumpkin...Patch!
James and Maggie really like their Halloween costumes...don't we have the cutest pumpkin and cat you have ever seen? With faces like these, who wouldn't give them candy...No Tricks just Treats!!
James and Maggie took their first visit to the Asbury United Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch on Saturday, Oct. 11th. They were so excited, James tuckered out and was asleep during all of his pictures. They both helped pick out their Halloween costumes and looked very cute amongst all of the pumpkins.

Here's the Proof
I know I have repeatedly said that James has rolled over, but did not feel the need to practice (therefore, no video proof). Finally, I was in the right place at the right time with the camera ready to record. He is not a happy camper, but he does successfully prove that his sister is not the only one that can strut her stuff.
Look at him roll....

Happy Birthday Daddy!!
Our Daddy turned 28 on October 5th...what a way to celebrate with James and Maggie piled in his arms. We are so excited to help celebrate...we just wish we could have some of the chocolate icing from the cake, maybe next year!

Vines to the Rescue...
I cannot thank all of my friends enough for the help they have provided with James and Maggie. Miss Ashley came to help me on Saturday, October 4th, while Keith went to the football game. What a trooper...she survived an outing to Babies R Us, a neighborhood walk, multiple feedings and bath time.
Even through the cries...Miss Ashley remained unscathed; she may even consider helping out with James and Maggie again one day.

Over the Hills...
James and Maggie made their first trip to Mommy's work on September 30th. They were so excited about the trip, they even dressed up for the occasion. Everyone at work was so excited to see them, considering many of them knew the "movements" of James and Maggie long before they arrived. I really work with a great group of people and they have been so supportive during the pregnancy and now after they have officially arrived.
James and Maggie were greeted at the door and were oohhed and aahhed over for over an hour. They loved all of the attention and mommy was able to see all of her friends. Several people wanted us to stay the day...I guess babies do put you in a better mood. James was even able to spend some QT with McElwee... I think he has her wrapped. Too bad James and Maggie are still too small to work, but give them a few years and we will have permanent "file clerks".
After spending time with all of my Accounting Peeps, we said good-bye and headed for home. All of the excitement of seeing everyone wore them out...I think they managed to sleep an additional hour after we got home. I tried to tell them work was hard, but I think they are still too young to understand.
