*Warning: Lots of words and pictures*
It is official James and Maggie are 8 months old and there is a laundry list of accomplishments:
- James has 7 teeth, Maggie has 2 teeth
- James is crawling, Maggie is scooting
- Both are pulling up
- Both enjoy all of the new foods Mama is preparing (mangoes, zucchini, plums...and this month we get to try white potatoes and broccoli)
- Typical laughing and squeals...just on a louder scale
- Try to mimic Mama and Dada...this is so fun!
Today was also the A-day game at the University of Alabama. This has been an annual event for our family for years...and now with the kiddos the Tradition continues.
In order to be prepared for a long day away from home, we began packing last night. Then I double checked the diaper bag twice, and made sure everything on my list was crossed off...and we
still forgot bibs. All that planning and you still forget something...seriously, where is my brain sometimes? We also tried to gather as many helping hands to attend with us...two sets of Grandparents, Uncle Keaton, and of course Mama & Dada (7 people should be able to contain two 8 month
old kids...Right?).

Anyway, as we are getting close to campus...the rain begins to fall. I am really not looking forward to a
rainy day. Nanny and
Paw Paw arrived early and saved us a spot in a parking lot close to the stadium, Yea to Nanny & Paw Paw for thinking about us! When we parked and got out of the car, the weather was a bit cooler than we anticipated. Good thing Mama packed pants...but what about jackets? Nanny to the rescue...Nanny &
Paw Paw brought stockpile clothes and Praise God there were two red jackets to match their red pants. Mama Kay was also prepared with extra ponchos...considering Mama & Dada were concerned about James and Maggie they did not think of themselves. Whew...first 2 obstacles handled.
The new double stroller has a rain cover (which we did bring) and James was certain it tasted good, considering he spent most of the ride to the stadium trying to eat the rain cover.
We make it to a covered level with plenty of seats for our Crew...James and Maggie are in awe over the people, the sounds, the activity and not to mention the cool new field.
Hey Ronnie...the field looks awesome! We enjoyed the 7 on 7 legends game...players from past years played a flag football game...I am sure there will be several sick days called in on Monday.

Paw Paw laughing at James and Maggie!
Maggie enjoying the activities on the field.James and Maggie as their Zucchini in the stadium...although I am sure the Hot Dogs and Nachos smells were tempting them. They ate very well, with Nanny holding Maggie and Dada holding James. No mess and full tummies!!
James was too excited to take his nap; although, Maggie did nap for an hour...Rock Star Nanny can put the sleeper hold on her! James finally gave up the nap in the 3rd quarter of the game (approximately 3 pm), which is a long time for him to hold out.

James and Big AL...

James and Mama...He is in the carrier and getting sleepy! After the game we changed, reloaded, and headed out the gates back to the car. All in all, this was a GREAT
Bama day...the kids survived 7.5 hours of football, being passed among 7 laps, and being out of their routine. But they two love Alabama Football and according to everyone we met...we are
training them early!

ROLL TIDE!!!
