happy campers

The second weekend of July we decided to go camping as a family.
We hadn't gone camping all together since Stella was a baby.
I hadn't been to Ohanapecosh since 2000.
Nana and Papa came along too.

We walked to Grove of the Patriarchs, and played in the water along the way.

The kids fished in the river, just below our camp site.

Stella even caught a little fish--perhaps the only one in the river...

Dad helped them climb down and explore some streams and rocks.

Evelyn enjoyed most of the weekend either in the Moby wrap or the Kelty.

A good time was had by all! I think a return trip is in order...

Month Eight

:: eating some solid foods

:: sleeping 7 or 8 hour stretches most nights

:: going from a sitting position onto hands and knees

:: pulling herself up to the furniture

:: gaining weight and chubs (about 19lbs)

:: smiling and happy

:: very excited to see people she knows
(especially daddy when he gets home from work--in fact, if he doesn't pick her up first things, she begins to cry!)
