It's just a game!

Clemson vs. Carolina...the game we (CU and USC fans) all look forward to during fall football. Instate rivals, and some can't ever seem to approach game day with only cheers for their own teams. Some of us have to come with negative thoughts and attitudes toward the rival. I understand you want YOUR team to win but do you have to drag others down. It looks bad on you! Stay classy, cheer your team on, and keep the crude comments about the other team at home. I am by no means pointing fingers because both Clemson and Carolina have fans that are obnoxiously rude. I am also not dismissing myself...I have had my share of rude comments, and I look back on them and think about how immature they were.
The comments you make don't help your team win, so why make them?
Then the bragging afterward! I try to smile and take it with a grain of salt, but in reality...I don't want to hear your crap just as much as you wouldn't want to hear mine. Someone posted on facebook that they were proud of the Gamecocks for ruining CJ Spiller's chance at the Hiseman. News Flash - one game doesn't determine the Hiseman winner. Numbers and preformance does. CJ probably won't win, but not because of his game agains USC. It's because of his numbers and there are just others out there that are better.
Someone was also beating down the ACC and why do we need it....etc. For crying out loud...it's a football conference just like the SEC. So if we don't need the ACC then we don't need the SEC.
I think the winning team should celebrate their victory, and the losing team should congratulate the winners....and let each other be!!
To all Clemson and Carolina fans....if you talk trash, you belong with the trash, if you talk positive you belong with the fans in the stands.
Carolina you played an awesome game this weekend. Clemson didn't show up ready to play therefore we didn't play worth a crap. So congratulations to all Carolina fans and Clemson fans....be positive and cheer the Tigers on for better playing next week! Let's go Tigers!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Gobble Gobble

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving on Broadacre Farm with the Henderson's. We drove up that morning, to spend time with the family. We got to take peanut's pictures outside under the two oak trees with the farm land view in the background. We stuffed ourselves full of turkey, ham, dressing, corn, green beans, sweetpotato casserole, mac and cheese, potato salad and some blueberry salad for dessert. Kale even ate some turkey and mac and cheese. Mimi snuck him some blueberry dessert! All that great home cooked food followed by none other that a wonderful afternoon nap. Then I helped Carol and Nat figure out the christmas tree lights while Will went hunting. He came back with a doe! YAY! Then we packed up and headed home.

I had an early morning of shopping. I was up at 3:15 and at my sister's house by 3:45. We got to Kohls by 4:30am. There were lots of people and LOTS of great deals. I came home with some Christmas presents, but not much. I didn't plan as well as I did last year. I should have! Last year I came home with all but 2 Christmas presents. Oh well! We stayed at Kohls the whole time, getting home about 10am.

I hope everyone else had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday!

Just wanted to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Ok so I am still working on my blog's design! It's a learn as you go kinda process but I'm getting it! I have already found several friends blogs and will be looking for others soon. I am loving this blogging thing. I could do it all day long! Hmmmmm....lightbulb just lit up! I won't say the thought behind that lightbulb just yet though! : )
Anywho, today is the first day of Fall Break form school. I am at home with my peanut and loving every bit of it. I have been on this computer all day long though so I think it is time to be done and get to cleaning. My house is in need of some straighting and putting things away!

I know I know....my signature needs changing now to match! I'll get to it : )

So Thankful!

Here are just a few thing I am thankful for in my life.
My wonderful church, J-team, and Christ himself! I am thankful for my wonderful husband and beautiful baby boy. Watching a child grow is so amazing, the new faces and sounds are what keep a smile on my face daily.
I am thankful for my job and the car that gets me there. I am thankful for the roof over my head and the clothes on my back.
I am thankful for all the little things people take for granted in the world.
I am thankful for health, happiness, and love that surrounds me.
What are you thankful for?

Cumfy on the Couch!

Ok so it's a chilly Sunday morning and I am on the couch with my lap top. I am working on my blog so I can begin to write daily. Any suggestions on how to change page layout. I don't like any of the templates they have to choose from, and I have been searching for a while to figure out how to make or get my own template. Someone please help! So next week is Thanksgiving and I am so excited. We are having a Thanksgiving feast at school and the kids are going to dress as Indians and Pilgrims. This is one of my favorite times of the year. Ok back to spicing up my blog spot! More goodness soon to come! : )
