Touching Story

No Pain No Gain was not something I associated with following God...until now! This video speaks volumes about No Pain No Gain! The Lord gives us pain for a reason and most of us have never understood and ask the question, WHY? After attending service at my church (TrueNorth) last Sunday I now understand a little more. This video of a couple who are members (the husband is on staff there) touched my heart. Their story is the meaning of 'No Pain No Gain' and very inspirationl to me.  It help put a lot of things in my life into perspective. We will never truely understand why God puts things and experiences in our life and we aren't ment to know. We are ment to live and learn through experiences and know that God knows the plans he has for us. I pray that from now on I can gain from pain. I hope this story speak to you as it did me.

Why Oh Why

I know I am blogging a lot tonight. I have finally uploaded some pictures that I have been wanting to blog about. Also this week is going to be super busy starting tomorrow and so I am getting them all in now!

On to the matter at hand!
So please tell me why is it that kids go for
                                                                        Trash

Blinds

Outlets and Cords

And Magazines

When they have THIS!!

If you know the answer or find out the answer to this question please enlighten me! It baffles me to no end!
I am asking for NO toys for his Birthday by the way! Clothes, food, diapers, or money! LOL

Lookin' Good!

Just thought I would share some pictures of Kale in one of his new outfits I blogged about a couple of days ago. Love it! Thanks Mimi!

Perfect!

Touch Down!

Rockin Out! Haha

Old and New

My creative juices got flowing this weekend when I was surprised with an early birthday present from my Dad and Mom. They brought me this

A new mirror/jewlery box. It is awesome! I was so excited to get it. So this is now my vanity mirror. While trying to figure out where this should go in the room, because it is massive and the spot I chose is the spot for good, I had a furniture makeover. This would have added a third mirror in my room. I also have one on my dresser and a freestanding full length mirror. So I decided to take the mirror part off the free standing mirror and hang it on the closet door. Then got a dowel rod and converted the stand to a blanket/throw rack in the living room...as seen below. How clever huh!

Hope you enjoyed my awesome NEW and reconstructed OLD furniture! I sure do!

I found a cute new store in North Augusta called Lula Blooms. It has lots of precious clothes for girls and boys. My mother-in-law and I ventured into the store and found several precious items, we ended up purchasing. If you are ever in the NA area, check it out. It's on West Avenut.

New Venture

I am in the process of beginning a new venture in my life. I am going to be joining a company called Thirty One Gift. I will be a consultant selling their handbags, luggage, coasters, wallets, stationary, storage boxes and baskets, bibs, bottle covers, passy clips, etc. They have so much fun stuff, and on top of it you can get most everything.....monogrammed! That's my favorite part. So if you would like to host an in home party or catalog party please let me know. I would love to add a little 'sweetness' to your closet.

Twenty Ten

Another year is behind us and a new one begins. A brief recap of
2009
To begin the year we had a wonderful blessing come into our lives. William Kale Henderson was born on January 24, 2009. He was born at 10:02am, weighing 9lbs 2oz and 21inches long. This was a wonderful birthday present for me, which is January 26th. Going into labor was a new and scary ordeal for me. First off I HATE needles. I have to say though I did really well. I also had to have a C-section so that was also a first...surgery! We both came through just fine though. While in the hospital I celebrated my 29th birthday and had some wonderful friends (Jill and Heather) bring my birthday to me in the hospital. They showed up with balloons, presents, and cake.
Then came all the challenges and mind boggling solutions a new born brings. Kale was having problems with is bowels and we went through lots to figure out what was wrong. The frights of his possible having to have surgery at 2 months old, to having to hold him down for a rectal x-ray, to him having a biopsy. Luckly it was nothing and he grew out of it.A lot of 09 was Kale's firsts. His first smile, first noises, rolling over, sitting up, crawling, first laugh, first foods, first words, all first Holidays, and first Bible. To top it all off the last day of 2009 he took his first 6 steps. We have lots of pictures of all of his firsts. I can't wait to continue his milestones in 2010.
That's pretty much our 2009...Kale. Everything else was everyday life. I look forward to this new year and hope that it brings many blessings our way. I already have lots of new adventures and resolutions in mind.

May 11th he was dedicated to the church and Will and I vowed to raise him with loving and open arms, and teaching him about our Lord.
