It's Spring!
A few weeks after Isaac was born, a health visitor stopped by to check in on us and we started chatting about San Diego and how we were adjusting to living in England. When I mentioned how excited I was to see spring in all it's glory - white and purple crocuses, vibrant daffodils, rainbows of tulips - she was astonished that we don't have bulbs in southern California.
I miss the ocean but boy, God sure has fun with springtime flowers!
...speaking of singing birds; we are now used to waking up to a symphony of birds welcoming the new day with song. A couple mornings ago, however, I woke up to give Isaac his pacifier and heard the regular bird chorus and (I promise I'm not making this up) a parrot saying "Carlos!, Carlos!"
Our block celebrated the Royal Wedding with a street party. It was such a fun way to get to know our neighbors!
I asked Aaron if he heard it and he said he did. Proof I wasn't dreaming. Isn't that random?!
Anyways, back to Spring...
