More Greats!

My grandparents came to visit last week and boy did we have fun!
Isaac LOVED meeting his Great Grandpa and Great Grandma Anderson.
We went to Fountains Abbey - it was sunny, then sprinkled, then was hazy and overcast...such an English day

Our baby boy is growing up!
Isaac wants Daddy's ice cream...it is yummy!

We visited Skipton Castle and it was really neat. It's one of the only castles with an intact roof and it really made the history come alive.

These windows were in the banquet hall and looked out over a beautiful yew tree in the courtyard, which was planted by Lady Anne Clifford in 1659

Look how the ivy is turning colors...it's beginning to look like fall!
We got to the Angel Inn before they opened for dinner so we went on a drive in the countryside...

Beats LA traffic...right?!
The perfect ending to a delicious dinner - the best Sticky Toffee Pudding I've had yet

At Betty's with Great Grandma

Exploring the Pump Room Museum with Great Grandpa

Enjoying the view from Knaresborough Castle

Thanks for coming to visit!

Three Day Weekend

This was one of the most amazing homes we've visited thus far in England:
Waddesdon Manor
The house was very grand; built to hold the exquisite art and French furniture collections of Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild in 1874-1889

Aaron let Joel take a sip of his super fresh, super tart lemonade

The highlight of our weekend with Salena and Joel:

the Sturminster Newton Cheese Festival!

Yummy cow cheeses, sheep cheeses, and goat cheeses...and breads, baked goods, and the most delicious pressed olive oil I've ever had!

Baddesley Clinton
A 15th century moated home that has secret hidding places used to hide Priests during the Elizabethan era.

A prince or a Pauper?

Roman ruins of Letocetum
Art, history, cheese...who could ask for a better weekend?

A Week of Firsts

This has been a pretty eventful week...
First food - sweet potato...he loved it!
(Since then he's had brown rice cereal and peas...he's a great eater!)

First bounce - he's not so sure...

...getting the "hang" of it.

First circus - the Moscow State Circus was in town!
(No animals, just talented people)

That's Our Boy

August

We had such an amazing trip to the states last month. Isaac did a great job on all the airplanes and LOVED seeing all his family and friends. We visited Chico, San Diego, Los Angeles, and Newport, Oregon. Isaac got to meet 3 sets of Great Grandparents and tons of dear friends and, well, this slide show will fill you in!
(Unfortunately the pic on the front is supposed to be the last pic in the slideshow - oops!)
