Christmas

I hope you had a Merry Christmas!
We had a very special Christmas ourselves:

the boys are interacting more and more...laughing, cuddling, and "agoo-ing"

our poor sweet Benji had bronchiolitis and was hospitalized Friday and Saturday - complete with oxygen box and feeding tube
he was such a trooper and is much, much better now
we are so thankful for all of the wonderful care our baby boy received in hospital

this is Benji after being told he was coming home!

brothers sharing a story on Christmas Eve

enjoying the Christingle service with a pew-full of friends

we all slept in until 9 Christmas morning - talk about a gift!
we kept trying to take pictures but all poor Isaac wanted to do was eat breakfast!

after satiating that rumbly tummy Isaac turned into a present opening machine

Benji loved watching all the colors, listening to all the laughter, and snoozing...

sounds like a perfect Christmas to me!

O Christmas Tree

We didn't mean to...

we weren't planning on getting one...

but last Saturday we were at our favorite lunch place
and they had trees of all shapes and sizes right next door
and this little guy hopped in our car!

we made garland out of pasta and hung wooden snowflakes and jingle bells

and Isaac had his first taste of eggnogg
(he thought it was delicious!)

he loved using his stool to reach the "high" branches

here's our finished little tree:

Merry 10 days before Christmas!

Benji is One Month Old!

He's holding up his head pretty well now, loves snuggling,
and is starting to "a-goo" and "coo" much to his big brother's delight.

We just love this little guy!

It's a BOY!

Monday November 12th, 2012

Aaron and I walked to the hospital for a scheduled induction...

after being strapped to a moniter for hours...
and being hooked up to an IV...
and playing Battleship (Aaron won)...

turns out the baby was not fond of contractions
(I wasn't minding them so much yet)
so...
here I am being told
"you need an emergency c-section"

it was like a movie...

with an awesome ending...

we got to meet
Benjamin James Pipkin!

Here's the proud (and handsome in those scrubs, no?!) Daddy with his boy

sweet Benji kisses

Check out all that hair!

Benji isn't so sure about us here...

but he sure loved looking at Grammy!

After our first night in the hospital Benji got to meet
Big Brother Isaac!

Isaac is so sweet with him - gentle, curious, and good at giving cuddles and kisses

Benji is such a snuggly baby, a good eater and sleeper, and pretty darn precious!

Here's our new and improved family!

Halloween-ween

Isaac was a zookeeper for Halloween...
and he had a blast at the HUGE Halloween party on base:

His favorite part was playing with this big balloon:

Daddy and Isaac made a Thomas the Tank Engine Pumpkin:

On Halloween day we went to Hesketh Farm Park
and our little zookeeper got to see some real animals:

It was too cold for trick-or-treating but he did get a cupcake
and the best part was shaking on the sprinkles!

Our Pumpkin hasn't appeared yet and we're anxiously awaiting his/her arrival!
