you know you're getting to the end of your trip
when you can't figure out what to do
so you go to the barber
but now Benji can say his first real haircut
was in Scotland
the barber had a sign saying "no kids under 5"
but the boys were so well behaved while Aaron got his trim
that he pulled out his mickey mouse jungle cape
and sat the boys down for trims of their own
then the newly shorn Isaac and I enjoyed delectable
chocolate treats at the Oban Chocolate Company
(Isaac had a toddler-ccino...steamed milk with cocoa sprinkled on top
he thought he was so grown-up!)
walking around town
looking for dragons and gruffalos with his spyglass
a castle
a boat so old (predates Vikings?) that the docent said
this will be put in a museum soon
one final distillery tour
on the way home we stopped at David Livingstone's birthplace and childhood home
he was one inspirational man
we made it home safely
our dryer died soon after our return though
fortunately I have an amazing husband who replaced it
while I was at brunch with friends
(he says it's payback for all the whisky tours I let him go on)
so Scotland was very worthwhile :-)
