It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas

Now that it's December
and the reality of Baby's arrival is
suddenly flashing before my eyes sinking in
we are fitting in as many "Christmasy things" we can
before the crazy awesome life changes begin!

nothing makes you move quite as fast as hearing a little voice saying
"oh no, oh no"
and peeking over to see a frightened toddler trying to hold up one third of a fake tree!

forget the dog, it's all about a boy and his measuring tape

and for a little night music: presenting the pj band

decorated - and we only broke 2 ornaments!

we had a little gingerbread house decorating party
and enjoyed getting to know some new friends better

his house collapsed so we turned it into tents and a garden

his looks a bit like a garage

and hers didn't last long!

End of November - a haiku

November is gone
pictures of the things we did
where did the days go?

paddle boarding with a car window shade and two plastic spoons

singing along to the Frozen soundtrack

so much to be thankful for

Thanksgiving - the one day a year you can flaunt a turkey on your bum :-)

stomp rocketing in the street while all the yummy food is cooking

 someone is ready to eat!

how is it that every day she is a little less "baby" and a little more "girl"?

 hello!

Three

Well, you know how you blink and things happen?

Nov 12th - I blinked.

This happened.

when he walked into the dining room and saw this Lightning McQueen balloon
above his chair he just grinned and kept saying
"THANK YOU MOMMY!"

 breakfast of champions

 the final "goodbye" to pac
(in our house 3 year olds don't need pacifiers anymore)
he gave it up without a flinch but then around naptime
he said "I'm feeling sad, I miss my pac"

pretty much the cutest 3 year old EVER!

Halloween

everyone starts Halloween with some
candy corn math...right?

after a Halloween story and craft time at the library
and "spider web" pizza for lunch
and a successful USC football game
and naps
it was time to don our Neverland costumes and
make our way over to our friends home
for a fun party and trick-or-treating

here's the whole crew:
Peter Pan, Captain Hook, Tinkerbell
Smee and a Lost Boy

the boys loved going door to door and proudly told us
it wasn't "too scary" for them

and tomorrow we're going to sort our (um, I mean their!) loot!

BOO-tiful October

Here are a few fun festive things we've done this month

Ezri getting her purple glue stick on...literally...

we visited a Pumpkin Patch with Grandma

we just finished reading "Charlotte's Web" and the kids wanted to
have their picture taken with "Wilbur"

sorry - had to show another pic of these gorgeous blue eyes!

we brought pumpkins home for some decorating

a sunny Saturday at the local club's Halloween Carnival

here's Superman swooping down the slide!

Ezri was very fond of her lollipop

I'm pretty fond of that little Fire Chief

related much?

Benji proudly displaying his prize pirate flag
