My Grandparents were celebrating their
55th wedding anniversary (woohoo!)
and we wanted to celebrate too
so we packed up the car and headed on a road trip
When I was growing up my parents would drive
STRAIGHT THROUGH THE NIGHT
to Colorado or Wyoming for Christmas
Aaron and I just looked at each other and laughed
and then booked a hotel in Utah
Probably our smartest move of the whole trip was
kicking it off with the longest drive (9 hours)
and every drive after that was at least a bit shorter
(although poor Ezri took about a week after we got back from
the trip to not freak out when we put her in the car)
It was a great trip
Ezri got to sit in a "big girl" car seat for the first time,
she was very proud...when she wasn't asleep
dinner at a fun wing joint in Richfield, UT
this guy enjoyed his rib dinner
(do you see the bbq sauce on his cheek?)
stretching those legs!
probably the kiddos' favorite part of staying in a hotel
is that we let them watch cartoons in the morning
(our favorite part of this hotel was the impressively yummy complimentary breakfast!)
the kids we such troopers - lots of books, toys and snacks helped!
flat-ish desert sloooowly changed to green mountains
and finally we are in Evergreen enjoying the deer from
Aunt Jill and Uncle Mike's balcony!
