Wuthering Lights

The morning after Labor Day we all piled into the van 

to take Isaac to school

The kids noticed lots of books with Mickey Mouse and 

other favorite characters...

and a giant stuffed Pluto, Mickey and Nala (from Lion King) in their seats

"What is this?" they wondered

and then a glimmer of hope sparkled in Isaac's eyes as he asked

"are we going to where Mickey lives?"

yup, we skipped school and went to 

the Happiest Place on Earth instead

because we're cool parents

Thankfully my parents didn't need to be too persuaded

and met us at the park

I don't think Aaron and I would have survived on our own!

It was a perfect first time visit for our family

We met Snow White first thing and she was great,

she made a point to connect with each kid

and really set the tone for a (loong) day of wonder!

It feels like August was ages ago!

this happened 

*sniff*

 He has a wonderful, seasoned teacher

and enjoys going to school everyday.

It's fun to hear about his new friends 

("we chase the girls at recess!")

and what neat things they learn each day

(We've been singing lots of "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom"

and "Who Stole the Cookies from the Cookie Jar?"

since school started)

Ezri and Benji like to play school while he's gone.

It's fun watching this relationship develop...

they even share clothes already!

One of the first kindergarten projects was "Color Week"

and everyday he got to dress up in a different color.

This was brown day!

A whale spout and teeth!

Benji is super into dress up and has quite the imagination.

He creates a character and is the same person

for a week or more...or until I have to wash the clothes!

Ezri is working on her "Super Girl" moves on Daddy's skateboard!
