My Thoughts

 While in Costa Rica, Jeff and I went Zip-lining through the rainforest.  The views were breathtaking! The zip lines were super long.  It was so much fun!

 One day while planning our trip, I told Jeff that I would go white water rafting.  I'm not very adventurous...at least when I think there's the possibility of falling...or even dying!  Jeff was super excited that I agreed to go white water rafting.

 I'm so glad we went.  It was a lot of fun and I didn't fall out of the raft (I was really nervous about that).  Our guide was awesome!

 We took a break in the middle to have fresh pineapple and watermelon.  It was delicious!  I miss the fruit in Costa Rica!

I would definitely do this again.  It was lots of fun!

 I can't believe it's the end of the school year.  This year flew by!  All the kids did great and they loved their teachers!

 Lauren and her homeroom teacher, Ms. Schnarr.  Lauren did great in 4th grade.  She has become quite the responsible student.  I love watching her grow!

 Julia sang during her celebration!  It was fun to watch.  Julia blossomed this year.  Reading and writing were difficult but she always tried her hardest.  I still think of Julia as my baby...when I really look at her, I realize she's not a baby anymore.  I'm so proud of her this year!

Jared had a great 2nd grade year.  We had a rough start in the beginning with him not working to his potential but we got it figured out and he really excelled.  He's a bright little cookie and wants to be a scientist when he grows up!

We are REALLY looking forward to summer and not being on a schedule.  I'm really looking forward to not having to catch the bus or pack lunches!

 Jeff and I had the opportunity to go to Costa Rica to celebrate our 15th Anniversary!  My parents came to watch our kids while we were gone.  Jeff and I had a blast and we LOVED Costa Rica!

 We stayed at the Nayara Hotel.  It was amazing!  Our bed had this on it to wish us a happy anniversary!

 We had an amazing first full day.  Our guide was awesome!  He spotted this howler monkey on our drive.  It was pretty cool.  We saw some amazing wildlife in Costa Rica!

 Our first stop, was hiking through the rainforest.  We walked on hanging bridges.  It was lots of fun!

 Our next stop...La Fortuna Waterfalls.

 Our guide bought us this delicious pineapple.  We had pineapple everyday and it was the best pineapple I've ever had!

 After the waterfall, we ate at a local Costa Rican restaurant.  We had typical Costa Rican food and it was yummy!  I loved the black beans, rice and tortillas.

 Learning how to get sugar cane juice.  We got to drink it after and it was so yummy.

 Our next stop...Arenal Volcano.  We hiked on the lava trails.  It was beautiful!

 Our amazing tour guide!  He dropped us off at the hot springs after.  It was the perfect end to our long day.  We loved soaking in the hot springs!

 On one of the days, we went on a Chocolate Tour.  It was fun to learn how chocolate is made...starting from a cacao bean.

 Lauren took tap and ballet this year.  She enjoyed both of her classes.  I loved watching her improve.

 Watching her brings back memories of when I took ballet.  I'm glad she likes it.

The girls had a blast in dance today but we are looking forward to our summer break!
