Catherine Fife has served as representative for Waterloo since 2012 and is currently in her fifth term as MPP, having been re-elected in 2014, 2018, 2022 and 2025. She is currently serving as the official opposition's Shadow Minister for Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade.

She has made a real impact on the lives of children and parents across Waterloo Region. Through her leadership, an additional 1,600 new childcare spaces were created in the region at no additional cost to Waterloo Region taxpayers.
