Tulip Festival

This girls and I ventured out to the Tulip Festival and it was breathtaking--truly a magical place. Despite a few tears along the way (which is bound to happen with 4 girls), we had a great time!

Samantha's Special Day

Today was such a wonderful day! Samantha turned 8 a few weeks ago and couldn't wait to get baptized. We were so lucky that a lot of Brandon's extended family, as well as many friends, joined us in celebrating this special day with her. She was glowing all day and the first thing she said to me after coming out of the water was, "Mom, I feel really happy." That just melted my heart.

Samantha has always had the sweetest disposition. Grandma Shawna gave a talk about the Holy Ghost, and she told an experience she had with Samantha that I hadn't heard before. Samantha told her that the Holy Ghost had already come to her, and Shawna asked her how she knew that. Samantha replied that this past Christmas, while watching a movie about the birth of Jesus, her felt her heart start beating faster, her breathing quickened, and she knew that Jesus had really been born on earth. She is such an example to me of how we all should become like little children--meek, humble, submissive and believing. Her testimony is simple, yet she knows that Jesus is the Son of God and was born on this earth and died for us so that we all can return to Him again. This is my testimony also.

I loved every minute of today. Sweet, simple and spiritual. I am so grateful to know that families are forever and that I will have an eternity to spend with the ones I love.

Valentines Day....a little late

Unfortunately I had the stomach flu on Valentine's Day this year, so I didn't get to take all the pictures I wanted, but here are a few. Bright side of the stomach flu? Not being able to indulge in chocolate!

Hallie Turns 3!

Hallie turned 3 on December 1st
This ornament pretty much sums her up!
Can you tell someone has been stealing frosting all day?
My cute cupcake and polka dot girls
We have a tradition of putting her birthday presents under the Christmas tree. To live up to her ornament above, she actually opened most of her presents earlier in the month, but I wasn't about to go get new ones, so I just wrapped them up again! Ya, she's going to have to work really hard to get off the naughty list this year.
Even with all the trouble that follows her around, our family wouldn't be complete without our "Little Monster". Happy Birthday Hallie Bear!!!
