Neutral No More!

I have never ever painted (or had painted by a professional) any walls in any house we've ever lived in. I kinda like just keeping the paint neutral and then decorating with whatever colors I like. But, in our new home there were a few walls that needed to be painted. So I decided it would be fun to try a non-neutral COLOR instead of just tan. It was kind of hard picking a color & even harder to actually put the first roll of paint on the wall. But it's just paint, right?? I can always paint over it when I get tired of it, etc. So, here it is...our first wall of color! It turned out okay. It's definitely better than the sponged/crazy paint that was there before!

First Day of School!

McKay and Sydney both started this school year out at a new school. It was a hard decision to have them switch schools, but in the end we decided it was the best thing to do. So, along with attending a new school, they also ride the bus now. Sydney could hardly wait to ride the bus -she thinks it's pretty cool!! McKay is in 4th grade this year and Syd is in 2nd.

Hailey started preschool the beginning of September. I can't believe she's old enough to go to preschool, but she is! It's nice (although very quiet) to have a few hours a day to run errands, etc. without any kids...at least for a few more weeks til the baby comes, anyways!

Disneyland/So Cal. Pictures!

On the road. The kids were excited to go to California! Here we go...

Our first ride at Disneyland is almost always Pirates of the Caribbean. Here we are in line...

Since Hailey & I were not able to go on too many of the "BIG" rides, we hung out together on the "kid" rides and ate treats while we waited... Hailey's fav ride was Winnie the Pooh!

Our favorite ride at California Adventures had to be the new 3D Toy Story ride!

It was awesome!

We can't go to Disneyland without going to the Lego store in Downtown Disney.

It's Lego heaven for McKay...

We hit the beach in Dana Point...

The water was CHILLY but that didn't stop anyone from having fun!

We also drove around the temple grounds at the Newport Beach Temple. It was gorgeous!

We had a fantastic trip & the kids are already talking about the next time we go to California...

This bottom picture cracks me up! This is pretty much a synopsis of how pictures went. Never easy to get everyone looking at the same time with a happy face nonetheless!! Thank goodness for photo shop...

Movin' on up...

Movin' on up - as in moving on up to the top of Formaster Ridge. We are enjoying our new home, but it sat vacant for nearly 2 years. So we have been super busy trying to get the yards in better shape, etc. The house is a little older and needs to be updated over time, but we love everything else about it. We can finally spread out and are enjoying more storage & more space!
