Went to see the Witches

On a beautiful Saturday afternoon we ventured out to have some forced family fun. We hadn't done anything for a while and I just wanted to get out and do something together. We love going to visit the witches at Gardner Village so off we went...As we approached the Village we put the pedal to the metal and continued on. It looked extremely crowded. So, Plan B. Off we went up Little Cottonwood Canyon. Sammy and I knew of a few pretty hikes that we went on during girls camp this year so we decided to try those out again. Below are some pictures from the hike. The kids are begging to go back again. It's a little cooler now so not sure if we'll make that happen quite yet. It sure was some much needed memory making with the family.

Just a test

I have thought about coming back and blogging again. This has ALL changed and so it is very foreign to me. I was introduced to facebook and instagram. So, a lot of my quick thoughts and pictures end up on there. I'm not really a fan of either of those but I get on them because that is how I find out things about family and friends and how I share my life with family and friends right now. Sometimes I just want to keep it simple. Why can't life just be simple again? So much going on to keep up with everything and everyone.

To tell you the truth, right now I am at a place in my life where I am happy. Ya, there are bad days or weeks but overall I am happy. We moved this year and I finally feel at home. But it wasn't just the move. I broke my ankle this year and was able to think about a lot of things as I laid on the couch pondering life and who I was. I was able to experience things that I wouldn't have been able to experience if I hadn't broke my ankle.

Chances are, no one reads my blog anymore. I tried to do a cooking blog and I really would like to try that out again. I love to cook.......well bake. It's a therapy for me. I also LOVE to share what I bake. If nothing else, maybe posting here would help get my thoughts out there more. I think I am a funny person but I don't always let others see that side of me.So, whether anyone reads this or not at least I am putting it out there.

Officially a teenager

Happy 13th to this "little" guy! He has blessed our lives so much. He's an awesome big brother and a wonderful son. And if you ask anyone, he never stops smiling. We love you Bubba! ;)

Do or Do Not....

Really trying to decide if I can start this up again. A) My computer stinks. B) My Computer stinks. C) My Computer stinks. Well, it happens to be working momentarily. So here are a few recent pics and some from 2012. We still do exist. ;) It won't let me add a picture so I may have to do a second post just to throw it in there. If I have enough patience I will even blog about the HOTTON family trip to Disneyland. :)

Welcome Back...

I thought that maybe I should get back to updating my blog.  Life got busy and I just didn't have the desire to do anything here.  Instead of back tracking we'll just move forward and hopefully I can keep this a bit more updated. Below are Spring Pictures I took on Monday. The kids needed some major picture updates. The last pic is an Easter family pic. I am hoping to get a better one than that soon.

Peace...

All the kids went off to school today. My first day of being left alone.  Of course it was for only 2 1/2 hours since the little one is only in Preschool.  But it was sweet peace. :)

First Day of School...Again

Clarissa started Preschool on Tuesday. She was so excited for it to be her turn. She was so happy and had such a great time.

Tayden started Kindergarten today. He was so excited he got his pajamas on 2 hours before bed time and was up at 7:00 getting ready for school.  He was so excited to go with his older siblings. I never thought this day would happen. I will admit I did shed a few tears but I am sure it was a mixture of many little things.

Tayden with Braxton and Sammy on his first day of school.

Tomorrow they all go off to school. What will I do???

Back to School....

Wow! Back to school again.  When we moved into our house Braxton was going into Kindergarten.  Now he is in 6th grade.  WHAT HAPPENED???  Samantha was 3 years old and mommy's helper with the new baby. Now she is in 4th Grade. It seems a bit unreal to me. Next week we will have two other children going back to school. So this is to be continued.....

Happy 4th Birthday to My Baby!!!

She was so excited to wake up and find a bike waiting for her. We went out to a park and Gardner Village. Unfortunately, the petting zoo and ponies are no longer there. It was really sad. We had pizza and Grandma and Grandpa Hotton and Aunt Ashlee came over to celebrate and watch Tay play a baseball game. We celebrated with Grandma and Grandpa Fuller and the other Aunts, Uncles, and cousins on Sunday. She is just too cute and growing up all too fast. Love you Baby Girl!
