2012

January 2012
In January we went and visited Emily and her family. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed spending time with them. Both Skyler and Saydie are soo smart. We had fun playing games with them and learned that Saydie and Skyler are the wii dance winners.
Dane came strait from work so he was still in his uniform. The kids had a lot of fun with his hat.

We decided to do a Freeze Your Buns race. It was very cold but a lot of fun.

Aubrie even made it on the front page of the newspaper. Go Girl! :)

February 2012
This February was an awesome February becaues Dane was offically discharged from the army. To celbrate we took a flight to Tokyo for the day.We walked all over the city and had a lot of fun. We came home with very sore feet as our souvenirs.

March 2012
In March we celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary.
Thank you honey :)

I ran in the St Patrick's Day race. It was a lot of fun. (Dane is anti running at the moment lol)
Nathan received his mission call. He is Very excited to be going to Conception South Chili. One of the few places we didn't guess he would be going.
Soo where is Conception Chili..

April 2012
This year we had a double birthday party with Dane and Clay at our house. It was a lot of fun. Unfortunately my house is very dark so only one picture turned out. :( Sorry
These are the cakes I made for the party.

We got up really early and went to watch the sun rise.

2011 Sumary

Things have been a little hectic around here and have finally slowed down. So, what have we been up to? Well here goes..

May 2011
In May, Dane hit his minimum flight hours to apply for the airlines. This has been a huge goal of ours for a very long time. You could say we were a little excited and Dane submitted his application to SkyWest (who he has been wanting to work for for a while now). It felt so nice to have such a big goal accomplished and we were very excited about the future.

June 2011
In June, Dane revived a phone call while he was at work and got some very good news. SkyWest wanted him to fly out and interview for a job as a First Officer. As much as I would like to say it was solely due to our own efforts, I can't. It was due to a very loving Father in Heaven and Him making things happen in the right time and right order. Now all he needed to do was study, study, and study.

July 2011
In July, Dane flew to Slat Lake for his interview. This was an all day process and was he offered the job! Dane was ecstatic to start this new career and couldn't wait for training to start on Aug 1st, which was when we were planning to go on vacation. Luckily the Priceline guy was very nice and refunded me the price of Dane's ticket.

August 2011
In August I decided to still go on vacation without Dane. I flew to southern Utah and spent some time with family. It was wonderful to see everyone again. Dane was able to get away for a weekend and made it to the family reunion, where we had a great time. After I got back from Vacation I was able to tend Charlie, a very cute dog the belongs to a friend of mine. I soon found out how much fun it is to have a cat and a dog. :) After a few days they learned to get along just fine. The sad part is, is that the fat lazy cat was the bully of the two.

Dane was in training all of August and part of September and he describes it like trying to drink from a fire hose, but he still loved it.

September 2011
The move! I had been packing for a while but in September, it went into overdrive and I finished packing up the rest of the house. Thank you everyone who helped!! Then my parents flew out and helped finish up and drive back to Utah. Dane was given a few moving days and we picked him up in Daytona on our way.
Here is a map of our trip.

We stopped in Jacksonville for lunch with Heidi and Braden and got the cat unstuck from under the seat.
Our stops were Pensicola, New Orleans, Dallas with Lonn & Teryl and family, Albequrque, dropped Dane off at the airport in Flagstaff, St. George, then finally Salt Lake!

Thank you everyone for helping us move. We do appreciate you time and sore muscles. I think if we ever move again we will sell everything that doesn't fit into a carry-on suitcase. :)

October 2011
We pulled into Salt Lake on Oct 1st. Unfortunately, the previous renters of our house had yet to leave. Sooo.... we were able to send some quality time with Jill and Durrant and their beautiful family. Thanks so much!! You truly were life savers.
I applied for some jobs and visited family. One day while I was helping lil' Nate with his homework I got a call for an interview. The day after my interview I was offered a job at the University of Utah as a medical secretary in the radiology department at the Huntsman Hospital. LOL, a very long description, sorry. Basically, I check the patients in.
Well, lucky us.. our move in day came.. yay! It just happened to be on the same day that I started my new job... Good luck Dane! We both had a very busy October 17th.

November 2011
In November we continued to work on the house. After a lot of boxes and a lot of new paint and tiles, our little place is starting to look like home.
This was our first holiday season back home in three years and we were so excited to see everyone, that we had a few Thanksgivings. Dane had to work Thanksgiving day, so I went to my parents. On Black Friday, we went to Farol's and had a Thanksgiving for Dane. We were also very luck to stop at Brent & Dayna's on Saturday. This year we were very blessed to have three thanksgivings, and see most of our family.

Dane loves his Job!

December 2011
Dane, unfortunately had to work Christmas day also.

I flew down and had Christmas with my family. It was a lot of fun to see the little ones open up the presents and grandpa even made it home in time for presents.

Nathan drove up to Salt Lake with me and we had so much fun together.

Saturday, April 16, 2011

In the last few months, I kept procrastinating and making up excuses why we haven't blogged in a while. I thought of everything from "we are to busy" to "we are so boring that we have nothing to blog about." Yes, I know that is a HUGE contradiction and it basically is because we have been lazy. Well today is a new day and I am going to strive to be better. Well for today anyways:}

What we have been up to? Well...

For New Years Eve we went up to Anastasia Beach with Heidi and Braden. There were tons of different food, a live band, and fire works off the pier over the Atlantic ocean . It was a lot of fun. Then we went back to Heidi's and had yummy drinks (virgin daiquiris.. we are soo cool :})

The end of January and first of February Dane's family came out and we were able to go to the parks. We had so much fun and it was great to get to see everyone and make such fun memories. Thanks everyone that came!!

In February a few thing changed for Dane's carrier. I am mostly adding this part as a tangible memory. This is when Heavenly Father looked at us, saw our plans for the future, and said "that could work, but I have a better plan." Now Dane is out of the military and ever closer to working for the airlines.

March was our 5 year anniversary. Seriously, where does the time go? I am so blessed to be married to the wonderful husband that I have. It really seems like we just got married then I blinked and here we are, five years later and in Florida! I really do love where life has taken us. It is so wonderful to be able to meet and see so many different people and places.

That brings us to April...Happy Birthday Dane! and Emily! and Rachel! and Clay! Dane wasn't to excited when I made him blow all 28 candles out, but he did love the cake. I personaly believe you are never to old to blow out birthday candles. Although, we may need to start using just one or two. Poor Dane, his cake looked like it was on fire!

Today we went up to St Augustine and saw the old fort, ate pizza and ice cream, and flew a turtle kite at the beach. The turtle unfortunately was accidentally released into its natural environment by a particularity strong wind gust. We watched it fly out to sea!
