Spring has sprung!

If you know me I absolutely despise yard work. Some people say its relaxing and like therapy. All it does for me is give me anxiety. The perfectionist in me tries to come out, but you can't really get perfection with our yard. It needs too much help;)

Every year it does get a little better. I plant a few new perennials each year hoping they will come up again. This year quite a few made it from last year.

Before: I wish I would have taken a pic before I spent about 4 hours getting it this far;)

And the final product. I love that paul did the hard stuff! He made it look great. I love adding the new soil to spice it up. Hopefully I can keep it all up:)

Cinco De Mayo Fun!

We had one busy day but ALL really fun stuff.

First up to see "THE AVENGERS".  Hudson has started liking them and really wanted to see the movie so we thought we better include him:)

Karlee and Hudson not taking his eyes off the previews.

Fun times!

Then we headed down to City Creek with the Metcalf'/Sorensen/Pettey clan.

First a little shopping at H&M.  Hudson likes to try on stuff too.

Then it was to the food court for our "foodie experience".  This month we were trying the Red Iguana.

It was nice that they have it in the food court.  This is my meal. Enchilada and taco.  It was really good!

Paul being funny;)

Surgery Time!

Last week Paul had surgery:(  But we are hoping it will be a great thing for him.  He has been having headaches for a couple of months. Plus he snores and has a hard time breathing so he started getting "checked out".  He had an MRI which didn't show too much but did show a cyst in his sinuses. He went to a neurologist and he had him stop all over the counter medicines and caffeine to try to not have "rebound" headaches.  It was rough! But he did start to feel better.

Next up was a sleep study.  He has SEVERE sleep apnea:(  Then it was off the ENT to find out he would have surgery.  They repaired his deviated septum, removed the cyst, removed a growth he was born with, and shortened his uvula. All in hopes that this will help his sleep apnea, help him sleep better, thus concentrate better and feel better.

Hudson on the way to stay at Grandmas:)

Ready to go!

He had it done at the Avenues Surgical Center.  Truly the best place we could have gone. They were awesome!  Even brought me my favorite thing: A warm blanket!

And this was in the waiting room! heaven!

Finally home.  It was hard on him. He came home with oxygen because his O2 levels were low. This ended up being a great blessing. The oxygen helped him be able to breath since his nose was filled with splints and his throat was incredibly sore. He was a trooper though. He hardly complains and just tried to get through it. The throat was the worst part and he has had good days and bad.

This week he felt a little worse and took the day off to sleep. I couldn't find Hudson and found him sleeping next to Dad.  Love my boys!

Hoping that this surgery will make a big improvement. I can't wait til he feels back to normal:)

FALL TV TIME!!!

So I reviewed last year what I was watching at this time and sadly at least 2 of the shows I loved were cancelled:

Outsourced and Better With You.. I hate that networks just don't give some shows a chance.  My sister and I and Paul still quote things from Outsourced. BOO!!!

The usual favorites.  That are getting kind of old but I'm following them til the end.

Greys Anatomy (has McDreamy become McOrnery??? i say YES)

Desperate Housewives (another murder? another cover up? another divorce? really? kind of glad its the last season)

Comedies I still love:

Big Bang Theory (love me some nerds!)
the bing bang Pictures, Images and Photos

Mike and Molly (too cute not to love)

Modern Family (one word: hilarious!!!!)

The Middle (the sad family you want to root for)
The Middle Pictures, Images and Photos
New ones I am loving:
Up all Night (pretty funny!)

Subragatory (has Jeremy Sisto in it...need I say more;))

2 Broke Girls (entertaining)

Others still watching:

Parenthood (must be the only show on tv that I'm sad when I see the credits. I could watch a 4 hour episode and be perfectly content)

Sister Wives (intriguing to me...must be my degree in Behavioral Science/Sociology...love seeing why people are the way they are which brings me to my next set of shows:

All my reality shows: project runway..the sing off...real housewives of this and that...top chef...teen mom...pretty much its shows on Bravo 24/7;)

What's everyone into this year???

Butler 33rd Ward Reunion

My home ward that I grew up in (spent about 23 years) had a reunion.  It was so neat to see so many people from my past.  A lot of the same people live there but a lot of them came back for a 2 day event.  The first day was treats and visiting in the gym. The second day the former Bishops spoke.  It really felt like home and I miss those days living there.

Of course I see these people all the time but its always a good time for a photo op. Trisha, Chris, Marci, Brett, Linzi, Laura, Kyle, Nicole, and Mr H.

My friend from when we were little Shelly Schilaty.

Tory Stirling and I.  We still keep in touch off and on.

Karlee, Linzi, and I with Barbara Thompson.  (She is part of the General Relief Society Presidency). We all love her.

Kendra Davis and I.

Some fun pictures that were displayed on the table!
My Mom and Linzi at an activity. Oh how I miss her!

The former Bishops. Mosteller, Schwitzer, Bennett, Jolley, and Roundy.

The Bishopric when I was a teenager.  Brother Ide, Bishop Bennett, and Brother Metcalf.

 The Relief Society Presidents.

Hopefully we can all do this again!
