January felt like forever but we got through it with a few coughs and colds to go along with it! This is the month Travis started interview fly-outs to business schools across the country. He has 11 total, each 2-3 days and all out of state. He comes home for a day or two between to wash his white shirts to have enough clean ones to interview with each time. The kids love it when he brings home pretzels from the plane and they ask for them every-time he leaves! His first visit was to Cornell and I was having pretty bad back pain before he left (which thankfully improved), but for some reason decided to potty train Evelyn during his first fly-out. It actually went amazingly well! She was clearly ready because she had minimal accidents and would tell me all day and even in public when she needed to go and made it to the toilet in time (for pee and poop!!). It's nice to have all kids out of diapers for now (that'll change in a couple months!). We also got a couple days of really nice weather here too mixed with lots of snow!

On New Year's day we surprised the kids with their favorite "sugar cereals" that we rarely have. It might as well have been Christmas all over again!
I love the feeling of a clean house once all of the Christmas decorations are put away. Also sad that Christmas is over though!
Loved finding his to-do list sticky note on his hat haha
One of the glimpses of my morning of one of Travis' fly-outs. This mess was made, I cleaned it up, then 2 seconds later it was all dumped out again. The legos are now on a very high shelf!
This was the view Travis sent me of his ride from the airport to Cornell, a limo!
Ev is so great at getting on and off the toilet all by herself; I'm shocked her little body can swing her leg over without falling in! She figured that out all by herself.
Her face when Frozen came on!
It was fun to see my grandpa garlick in Virginia while he was visiting my aunt and uncle!
One morning she said "I have an idea!" then got out the chair, this drink, and took of her clothes and said she's at the beach. She didn't let me get to close because of the waves.
One morning we went over to Rosemary's to play. The kids found a Gumby toy and were confused what it was, so Rosemary pulled out her tablet and showed the kids a YouTube video of it. It was so cute! She fed us mac & cheese too.
The snow was crazy on the east coast this month, so Travis experienced a lot of delays and cancellations of flights which was stressful! We ended up getting almost a whole foot of snow here in Chapel Hill! The kids loved sledding down the hill on Trav's snowboard.
One day I went in to get Ev out after her nap and couldn't stop laughing! She told me she decided to pull out her build-a-bear's heart. I sewed up Sprinkle's and put her back together but it was so funny!
One morning Ev put shoes on and then tried to go to work with Travis. After he left I found her with the laptop and she said "I'm working!"
Trav's brother Rick had some meetings near Raleigh so he and Kelly came out to visit. It's always a blast to be with them! The kids loved it too and especially loved eating at Red Robin.
