The movie My Architect. What an amazing touching documentary. Not like a documentary, an amazing film. The cinematic is out of the world. The timelapse sequences are to die for...

Not only that but the family ties to the people in the movie make it especially compelling.

I know it's been out for almost a year. But it finally came to the Mid-Michigan area. How amazing - words aren't always there to describe the film.

It is an inspiration to me to try and start the film project that i want to work on. Just that i'm not sure how to go about it... I'll have to go digital based on the need to incorporate and fade back and forth and just cause that's the medium that i'm most familiar working with. The nice thing is that it would be rather inexpensive compared to Nathaniel's massive undertaking, flat out dirty cheap. And the difference is i would probably be the only one who'd like to look at the final project... or not... it would be great to try and get it finished and screened at TDIfest maybe. Just need to figure out how to get it started....

anyway - Lou Kahn is unbelievable as an architect/artist. His buildings are unbelievable stoic an gorgeous. I.M. Pei said it best in the movie. a few buildings of substance are worth more than dozens of idea-compromised structures....

Osama is right on target with his goals - at this rate he will bankrupt the USA - he's got us by the nutsack and hasn't even started to squeeze. Next time maybe he can hit one of the conservative strong holds instead of the Democrat areas... but thats a bad thought to wish on anyone.

On the flip side - the current situation isn't anything i would wish on Kerry/Edwards. Not for a heart beat. Its a mess - and 4 more years of lies and ineptitudes are sure to follow and heck what else can he screw up... just my children's lives.

How does the democratic party reach the wall fart voters? The Dems have a strangle hold on the Starbucks majority, but starbucks won't win you an election. Bud and Miller will though. Would edwards have done better? Maybe, but he couldn't even carry the ticket in his own state. We need a good southern democrat that can somehow gather forces in those Red states and some how carry enough of ohio florida as well as the current blue states. Its a sad state of affairs. The USA is going going... and who's to say what will happen next. its enough to be very very scared for our children... Time to brush up my french and german and to learn a bit of italian, but.... they all speak english anyway ... soo depressing soo depressing
