12th Anniversary

Yesterday was our anniversary--our Super Duper Anniversary (12 years on the 12th of July). Unfortunately, Howie had to work, so we went out to the sand dunes where he was working, and had lunch with him. Then, we played at the lake when he had to go back to work. That evening, I had to work, and when I came home, he was asleep (he had to get up at 4:30 in the morning for work...) But, the girls had decorated our room with this cute banner. Made us laugh. There was another banner they made in the living room with XOXOXOXOX on it. They're such good girls. (Excuse our messy room---life happens, ya know?) FYI- It isn't all fun and games around our house! Everyday the girls do 2 jobs, and we're trying to grow a garden, and clean out the garage. We just have to document the fun we have, so the girls don't think all they did was work when they were growing up. :)

Salt Lake City

We took a quick day trip to SLC and got to check out Temple Square and while we were there, we went to the Children's Museum. The display was celebrating scouting and we found Uncle Lenny's scouting quilt hanging on the wall! It was a fun, quick trip. In other news, Maci got bottom braces, and a retainer for the top teeth. She also got a new pair of glasses, and a haircut. She's had a whole new make-over!

Summertime fun!

4th of July Started with the scout flag raising and breakfast, then it was off to the parade. Howie was there too--you can see him in the background stopping/directing traffic. This 'special' parade goes down the street, and then turns around and comes back, so you get double the candy. The girls got to ride in Howie's rig following the parade, and threw out all their candy to the other parade goers. It was AWESOME! I think we only came home with 5 pieces of candy. But I'm sure we'll get it replenished after the Pioneer Day parade on the 26th. We have spent lots of time in the water--this mamma is getting hot! We built sand temples (as per a Primary lesson, and have lit off fireworks in the front yard.

It's a WHAT?!

We had our ultrasound at about 19 weeks, and were happy to discover something we'd never seen in an ultrasound before! We're having a little boy, and we're super excited. Isn't he cute!?

Soccer Season!

This is Lexi's 3rd year playing soccer, and my second year of coaching. The team is undefeated! They are awesome players and know how to score goals! It's been a fun year to watch!

Here and There

Hadley's self portrait Hadley's new Tea set from Aunt Trundy. She's up for tea if any of you feel like stopping by. :) Maci washed some of her stuffed animals, and I told her to hang them on the line. She figured out how to do it. Funny girl. (I later gave her a lesson on how to hang things on the line--not all wadded up...) Maci in her 3rd year of softball. This year, she got to pitch! She did really good!

Wicked!

Maci and I got to go on a Mother/Daughter date to see Wicked in Boise. We had awesome seats, and got to go with some of my siblings/spouses, and Mom. Maci loved it! She kept saying, "That was so much better than a high school play!"
