Ringling Bros CIRCUS

We got to go to our first circus this weekend with the kids and Jake's family. This was time well spent. Grandma & Grandpa Winget gave each of the kids some money to buy a treat. Skye and Jadin just stared in awe at all the cool things. They couldn't believe they got to buy something.

Grandma Jackie (Mom) is great with the kids. They just love her to pieces. Thanks Grandma Jackie for the Circus! We all had a blast!

Wow...the elephants were unbelievable!

A couple of the tigers were getting upset at their trainer. I was a little nervous, but everything turned out fine. They are beautiful animals.

This is the whole clan. What a fun bunch!
Dinner at Applebees is always yummy.

Aunt Alaine was there wtih all her kids. We love that family.

Game Day at our home is always an event. We get all our blue on, we get chips and dip, we get all our cleaning done early, and we put our game faces on.

But this time, Jake and I got to sit at the stadium to watch the game. After such a Bum-Whooping we recieved last week, we were a little uneasy about the outcome of this game. Luckily, and yes sometimes it's luck, BYU came out on top! It was a fun game to go to. Jake is the best person to watch a BYU game with. And plus, I got to see Mary!

Holy BLOGNESS!

So it's been almost a year since I posted on here. Do any of you still check this out? Sorry...I want to re-start blogging. Hope you guys are still on here too! Love you all. A BIG update is about to be posted so don't give up on me yet.

2 weeks with Jake and Family.....a much needed retreat!

We spent our first half with my family. They had 18 inches of snow! So the boys took advantage. They made the cutest snowman I have ever seen.

Our Winget Family Christmas Party was full of awsome foods, silly jokes, thoughtful gifts, wrestling, spiritual messages, and LOTS OF LOVE!!!!

Skye's 1st Hair Cut! She did not like it. Jake took us girls out for a Christmas hair cut and style! I got my hair cut first to show Skye how fun it really is to get pampered. She didn't buy it. I think she will be more happy with just painting her nails and "making her hair pretty" with flowers and bows.

Our 5 year Anniversary!

We went bowling! We both bowled better than we usually do. For me, that means I bowled more than a 50! hahahha....for Jake, the pro, it means he bowled more than 200!!!!! I have to admit, watching Jake bowl was fun enough for me. He is such a stud.

Jake is my soul mate. He is my complete opposite, and therefore, my perfect match. He keeps me grounded when my head feels like it's floating away. I am more in-love with him now than I ever remember being before. We have made two beautiful children together. We have become best friends (we got married only after 3 months of dating, so there was not so much time then). He is the only guy I know who can put up with all my crap and still be crazy about me. He makes me feel like a million bucks. I am the luckiest woman. I love you baby.

The second half of our vacation, we spent with Jake's family. Jadin always enjoys baking with grandparents.

They have quite the little farm there. So we spent time feeding the ducks, chickens, rabbits, kitties, and dog. The kids loved the animals and were excited to be around them. And let's be honest, mom and dad were just as excited, if not more.

CHRISTMAS EVE: One of our traditions is writing Santa a letter. Not so much as to ask him for a present, but to thank him for all his hard work. And also to tell him something the kids did that year to be good. Then also, Santa will write them a letter back. This has been such a blast for our family.

Another tradition we have started....making reindeer food and spreading it on the front lawn. (We mix oatmeal with colored crystals like sugar) We explain to the kids that when Santa comes, the reindeer are very hungry. And the "glitter" in the food makes it easier for the reindeer to find our house.

Christmas Eve Minute 2 Win It! Game Night. Mom and I set up a series of games like the hit show, "Minute 2 Win It". I recommend this for any party. You can find all the games and rules on their website. And all the materials needed are household items. The first game we played was the Holiday NutStacker where you have to stack nuts (metal hardware kind) by using just a candy cane! This was insane. The second game we played with the Christmas Stacker where you have 60 seconds to stack 36 cups in a perfect pyramid, take it down, and return cups to original stack. It's harder than it sounds, i promise!

Allie and Zeke kicked butt in this game where you have to balance 10 ornaments on a yard stick laying on a empty wrapping paper tube.

This game is called Royal Hanky Panky. You have 60 seconds to pull 180 tissues from a box using only one hand. This was my favorite. It got everyone laughing. Just try it tonight with your family. You'll be bustin' a gut too.

We also did the Elephant Swing where you wear nylons on your head with a baseball at the end of it. Then you have to knock over 8 bottles. To end off the games, we had to do the cracker on the face thing where you wiggle the cracker down from your forehead to your mouth.

CHRISTMAS MORNING: Jadin got a bell from Santa's sleigh. This is was Jadin kept asking for. (His favorite movie is Polar Express....if you have seen it, you will understand)

Skye had a great christmas too. The theme for most of the presents she got was baby dolls. She loved it! She is into the phase where she wants to feed and take care of a baby like what she sees moms doing. I love this stage!

When Jade goes "messy" in the potty, he (and us) are rewarded with an ice cream cone. A couple of weekends ago, while Jake's family was visiting (cousin Shawn is shown), Jade went messy and we ALL got to have ice cream cones. Jade felt so important since his little (okay BIG) act got us all a treat.

These two are becoming quite the little team. They are playing so good together. They are like partners in crime though. When things start to get quiet, Jake and I are on gaurd since that usually means they are doing something they shouldn't. But for the most part, they are angels. We really couldn't have asked for better kids. We are so blessed to have them in our lives. They keep things fun and keep us young and on our toes.

Men's Basketball has started. Jake is in full-blown basketball mode now. That means he eats, breathes, and dreams BASKETBALL. He puts his whole heart into what he does with the team. I am so proud of his dedication and hard work. He is the most attractive to me when he is either playing with our kids or is coaching on the basketball court. The team is doing great this season! Their record so far is 8-4. I will keep you all updated on their progress.

Since Jake was going to be on the road with the team for Thanksgiving, we decided to cook our own Thanksgiving dinner the sunday before. Well, we kinda cheated. We BBQ-ed turkey fillets instead. And it was my first time making homemade rolls (for any of you who really know me, you know I can't bake) and I totally burned them! But Jake and Jade made yummy mashed potatoes! Hooray for that. And then I warmed up a can of gravy. I know, I am lame. I really need to learn how to cook. But at the end of day, I felt very thankful for everything I have. I have a VERY handsome husband who is supportive, loyal, and great to his family. I have a energetic, big-hearted, and optimistic little boy who makes me feel like a million bucks. And I have a beautiful little princess who is so much like me it's crazy! We are two peas in a pod. And I love being with her and telling stories about our day.

We went to the Light Parade in Ephraim with our friends, the Dixons.

A Tardy Post.....Halloween. "You're Late Atwood!"

Halloween at the Preschool. Jade was a dragon. Skye was a mouse. And I was a Coo-Coo Witch.

This was just before we went trunk-n-treating. Thanks to my friend, Skye had a much cuter costume for Halloween as a Lady Bug.

The Family of Vampires.

Fall = Leaves, Birthday fun, cookouts, & cousins

We are so excited to start having fire pit cookouts in our backyard.

Jadin turned 3 this month! I can barely accept it. We let him choose his whole day. So first, he wanted a breakfast in bed with dad. Then he asked for a chocolate doughnut with sprinkles. He was one happy kid that morning.

Next, at school, we made him King for the day.

Jadin then said he wanted to spend his Bday dinner at the McDonald's playground. So we all ordered happy meals and played on the slides. (I actually almost got stuck in the pink slide. I guess that's why they put an age limit on these things, huh? Go figure.)

We ended this fun day with a Mcqueen & Mater cake and then presents. We love this little guy so much. He has a HUGE personality full of spunk, sensitivity, passion, & zest for life.

We are loving our HUGE yard and all it's leaves this fall. We have spent almost every early evening outside having leaf fights, building leaf forts, and laying in a bed of leaves while watching the sky and stars.

We had a movie night with Mike's family at mom and dad's house. We got to see How To Train A Dragon for the first time. Holy Moly, I love this movie. Mom got all the girls matching PJ's.

Coming Soon.....Halloween Pictures!

MinivanSticker (since we don't have a minivan, it's going on here!)
