Easter Sunday

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter, we sure did. The boys looked so handsome in their Easter clothes! We had dinner at some friends house and it was AMAZING. Tiffany made the best Pork Loin (garlic and rosemary)I have ever had and lots of other yummy stuff! I made a Coconut Lime Cheesecake it was good too!

The Easter bunny left Marshmallow guns for the boys. They are having so much fun with them. Sawyer is enjoying finding all the marshmallows on the ground, luckily he doesn't really like them but he does taste them each time just to make sure!

In all seriousness,I am so thankful that my Savior died and has risen again! I am Thankful we will live again too. I love Easter. You know they say without Easter there would be no Christmas. Happy Easter!

Diva Dash.

I am doing this 5K tomorrow. It's called the Diva Dash because there are no guys and every half a mile is an obstacle course, plus that's just a fun name right? It should be fun!

He's getting to big...

I can't believe my baby is almost seven months old. He is so much fun. He is so sweet and has a huge personality. He loves his brothers. He is so busy. He is crawling. He is pulling himself up on things and yells at his brothers. I don't know what I would do without him. He is so small and keeps me on my toes all day. I can't imagine what he is going to be like as a toddler.

Snow day in TX

It snowed last week in TX. What the heck? There was about an inch of it, ha! They canceled school and shut down everything. It was fun. The boys went out and played in it, we lit a fire, and made some soup. Oh and played with icicles. Glad it's supposed to be back into the 70s this weekend!!!

We didn't make this cute snow-women our neighbors did, I just took a picture of it!

Lecture about Stress.

My dad sent me this email last week and I really liked it so I wanted to post it to my blog. Hope everyone is doing great! Stay tuned for some pics of our SNOW day! :)

A lecturer when explaining stress management to an audience,
raised a glass of water and asked
'How heavy is this glass of water?'

Answers called out ranged from 20g to 500g.

The lecturer replied, 'The absolute weight doesn't matter.
It depends on how long you try to hold it.

If I hold it for a minute, that's not a problem.

If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my right arm.

If I hold it for a day, you'll have to call an ambulance.

In each case, it's the same weight, but the longer I hold it,
the heavier it becomes.'

He continued,

'And that's the way it is with stress management.
If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later,
As the burden becomes increasingly heavy,
We won't be able to carry on. '

'As with the glass of water, You have to put it down for a while
and rest before holding it again.

When we're refreshed, we can carry on with the burden.'

'So, before you return home tonight, put the burden of work down.!

Don't carry it home. You can pick it up tomorrow.

Whatever burdens you're carrying now, let them down for a moment if you can.'

So, my friend, Put down anything that may be a burden to you right now.

Don't pick it up again until after you've rested a while.

Here are some great ways of dealing with the burdens of life:

* Accept that some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the statue.

* Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them.

* Drive carefully. It's not only cars that can be recalled by their maker.

* If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague.

* If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

* It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to be kind to others.

* Never put both feet in your mouth at the same time,
because then you won't have a leg to stand on.

* Nobody cares if you can't dance well. Just get up and dance.

* Since it's the early worm that gets eaten by the bird, sleep late.

* The second mouse gets the cheese.

* When everything's coming your way, you're in the wrong lane.

* Birthdays are good for you. The more you have, the longer you live.

* You may be only one person in the world, but you may also be the world to one person.

* Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.

* We could learn a lot from crayons... Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull.
Some have weird names, and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box.

*A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.

Smores anyone?

It was pretty chilly here a couple of weeks ago so for family home evening we built a fire and made smores! The boys thought it was pretty cool.

Sawyer just keeps growing and growing! He is sitting up on his own now and loving it. Especially in the bath and when he gets to sit and watch Barney (hey it makes him happy)

I just thought that these pictures of the boys all playing (or watching Tallin play) the computer are so stinkin cute!

Sawyer likes Diet Pepsi or playing with the can anyways, I think the cold feels good on his little teeth.

We are LOVING Austin. It is such a great city. We have made some great friends, our ward is awesome and we are just really liking it here. Life is great!

Holy Cow!

Can you believe it? I am actually updating this thing. It's about time huh? Well here's what happened, my computer crashed or something and was down for a long time. I got it back about a month ago and with the holidays and everything else I just haven't updated. Now it's been forever and there is no way I am going to post everything that has gone on so you are going to get tidbits of this and that. HA!

Lets start off with Sawyers blessing. It was beautiful. We had family come to town and we had a really good time. We went to the Salt Lick here, it is a BBQ place that is fabulous!
I got mastitis that weekend and was pretty worn down so I didn't get many pictures. I really regret that now, I really wish I would have gotten more of the blessing day.

Tallin and Colt both had their first days of school. Tallin is doing AWESOME in school and reading soooo good. I am so proud of him. He's gotten a lot of awards like the blue jay award which is for being an all around good kid, PE super star, Music Note award, and lots of golden tickets. The school even sent home a packet to put him in Talented and Gifted kids. I am most amazed at how well he is reading, he even reads chapter books which he is very proud of himself for.
Colt is really enjoying school this year. He is excited to go every morning and is really happy when we pick him up. He is making good friends and learning quite a bit too. It's been so good for him to be in school.

My sister got married and it was AMAZING! So happy for her. We went to Colorado in September for the wedding and had a great time. The boys looked so handsome in their outfits.

Christmas was great! Jasons little sister Hilary got married and it was also amazing. Hil made a very beautiful bride. I wish I would have gotten more pictures but it was kind of crazy and really cold, I was busy trying to keep the baby warm. Anyways we went to Wyoming and Utah then to Arizona where to spent Christmas. The wedding was at the Logan Temple and it was COLD!! We had a great time though and the boys got to play in the snow!
On the drive from Wyoming to Arizona we hit some black ice and that was so so so SCARY. We spun around 4 or 5 times and ended up stuck on the side of the road really really close to a really big, steep, ravine. We had a tow truck get us out but we were all OK and so was the car, I am very thankful for that. I am also very thankful that I don't have to drive in the snow :)
My Camera died when we got to Arizona so I didn't get any pictures there.

We are doing great! Sawyer is growing and is so much fun. He's got two little bottom teeth coming in and is trying to crawl. I can't believe how fast he is growing and just wish he would slow down a little bit. The boys LOVE playing with him especially making him laugh. I love his little smile. I love the way he watches Tallin and Colt and just takes it all in, it is just so cute! Colt just can't seem to get enough of him either it's really sweet.

OK now that I am some what caught up I promise to keep this thing updated! Hope everyone is doing amazing!
