Summer of 2011

We have had a great summer and I can't believe it is ALMOST over!! It all began with a trip to New Orleans to visit the Aquarium, Insect Museum, and the zoo. Then we went to the beach with my whole family. Then Leslie and her three were here for two weeks which was so fun. Then between swimming lessons, Cheer Camp, trips to the zoo and children's museum, more swimming...time flies!!

As you can see from the pictures these two are very busy...they have kept me on my toes this summer...never a dull moment! They are doing such a great job playing together for the most part...I just love it!!

Although routine will be good for all of us, I am a little sad summer is almost over. I have enjoyed playing with my silly girls and I think we will all miss each other - a little. Even John has enjoyed having us around this summer.

New Post

I know, I know!!! It has been a year since my last post! I really cant believe it!! I won't give any excuses - we all know I'm a BAD BLOGGER!!! I posted the most recent photos so enjoy!!

On Friday, to celebrate the Royal Wedding, Brooke's Class wore fancy bonnets and tiaras. Brooke is sporting a Mimi original. It was also Brooke's snack day so Mimi took Petit' Fors and read Fancy Nancy to the class. Brooke loved it!! They pretended they were eating wedding cake. So Fun!! Thank you Mimi!! (Mimi is helping us alot these days! We love you!! Thank you Thank you)

Brooke just had her K3 play "A Springtime Garden" It was absolutely precious!! They sang the cutest songs and at the end they played the bells to Amazing Grace. It was amazing!! She has had a wonderful year!!! We LOVE her school!!!

She spotted her biggest fans!!

Easter morning I couldn't find my camera! So the only pictures of their Easter Baskets are on John's phone. But I was able to find my camera and charge it before we left for church. So here are the girls and Daddy.

Sisters on Easter Morning!!

The girls getting ready to find eggs. This was Tatum's first egg hunt that she really knew what was going on. She was so funny! She discovered the goodies in the eggs so she would dump the candy in her basket and throw the egg!

My sweet Tatum!! She is 21 months and so funny!! She loves baby dolls and being outside!! She is still sucking her thumb and has a very special night-night that she loves. She is really doing great potty training. Of course we all know that I can not take credit for that. She has a wonderful babysitter that has her in pullups and staying dry for her almost everyday. Not THAT great at home, but this weekend I did not change a dirty diaper. That's awesome in my book!!! Brooke is so good with her and I love watching them play!! Of course sometimes it can get heated but Tatum can hold her own!!

Tatum in her rocker reading a book. Her favorite book right now is Bad Dog, Marley. She loves our dog Colonel except when he's in her way. Then she gets so mad and screams "MOVFFF CLOLONELLL!!" So Funny!!

Here are all the Grans!! No one looks at the same time. Leslie and Reagan came a few weeks before Easter so we had our annual Crawfish boil a little early. We had a great time playing outside with everybody!! We love playing with cousins!! Such fun times!!

Chocolate Lover!!

Bedtime is always a very interesting time around here. My drama queen is the BEST staller!! Tonight John put her down and she said her prayer...Dear God, Thank you for this day, thank you for mommy daddy's friend, (not sure what that means) thank you for Madagascar 2 and Thumbelina even though it's not over....In Jesus name Amen!
I promise I won't keep quoting her prayers but lately she has really been putting some thought into them or just speaking her mind.....

Well, the girls were down (I thought) so I sat down to a nice bowl of Chocolate Cheerios. Which if you haven't tried them I highly recommend that you do!! They are FABULOUS! After I finished eating my treat...Brooke starts calling me so I went in her bedroom expecting the usual "I need a glass of water" Of course that's what she wanted so I gave her a drink and one last kiss. Then she started sniffing in air and said..."What's that smell on your teeth? Chocolate?" CAUGHT!! She LOVES chocolate and I swear she can smell it a mile away!!

Happy Wednesday!!
