A new exhibit called “Pieced Together” at Skull City Studio showcases 28 quilts by 14 artists, blending traditional American quilting with diverse and lesser-known styles to highlight the craft’s creativity and range. The show aims to challenge stereotypes about quilting while celebrating local artists and making the art form feel more modern and accessible to the community.

The fourth annual Stronger With Each Step 5K Color Run will take place May 3 at Sam Michaels Park to raise funds for the Brian O’Neill Jr. Foundation’s mental health programs in the Eastern Panhandle. As we recognize National Doctors’ Day on March 30, I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the physicians who provide care in our local WVU Medicine facilities and to acknowledge the vital role they play in the health and wellbeing of the Eastern Panhandle.

Senators Patricia Rucker and Tom Willis joined others to introduce Senate Bill 880, the “Recognizing Judea and Samaria Act.” The bill passed the Senate on February 25 with a 32-2 vote.
