Why JUST on Valentine's Day?

Ok, so I don't have a picture to post with this... so for those of you that just want pics, you can stop reading now.

For the rest of you that must like to read my rambles, continue reading. It is coming up on V-Day again... the time of year that everyone sells candy/flowers and talks about love. I dig the candy part- but what is wrong with treating your special someone with love everyday? I mean...that is why I never have been a "big" fan of this one particular holiday. I want my special someone to treat me the way they would that day each day! What's wrong with thinking that way?

Well, I also don't do flowers. I know that some of you just gasped. I am aware that this may be a terrible flaw in being a woman, however, I have been raised in a home where flowers weren't too terribly appreciated. I guess that makes it kind of genetic? I haven't ever been a huge fan of something that would die three days after you receive them, so Kris has been told (repeatedly) NOT to purchase them for me. I mean, you could buy a few new shirts, cupcakes all around, or Mexican dinners for a week with what you would spend on flowers one time! Makes no sense to me. Sorry.

I do however LOVE my husband! And, any holiday that means he has to show me how much he loves me is all-right with me. I am sure he doesn't mind the extra attention that day, either. But, for all of you men out there that have stumbled upon this post- if you treat your lady right the whole year round, you won't have to spend so much or go so far out of your way to please her this one particular day!

Thank you, honey, for completely understanding what I need from you without me having to constantly tell you.

Thank you for not spending outlandish amounts of money on 'things' that are supposed to show how much you love me.

AND, thank you for loving me for me. I could not have found a more perfect fit for me if I had looked the earth over. I love you more this Valentine's Day than I did on the first one we shared 12 years ago. But, that one was pretty darn special, now that I think about it! =c)

I love my husband (even more) today because....

- he cooked my breakfast (gravy/homemade biscuits/sausage/bacon/eggs).
- my coffee pot broke this morning and was leaking all over the counter, so he went to Wal-Mart and bought me a new one just so I would be happy!
- he tells me I am beautiful everytime he sees me.
- he insists that I am skinny enough. I keep saying I want to lose more weight-he says no. What man says that?!

I love you, honey. Not just for these reasons, but for millions of others. But, most of all because YOU LOVE ME so much.

Christmas #3- Narramore Family

December 24, 2010- Narramore House
We meet each Christmas Eve morning to eat breakfast and open gifts with my mom's side of the family. This is such a special time for everyone... we all love hanging out with each other and having a laid back day.

Christmas #2- Walker Family

December 23, 2010- Walker House
We were at mom and dad's house on the night before Christmas Eve to open presents and eat dinner. The kids were so excited to see what was in all of the gifts!
