So I am really lazy, and just don't have the motivation to update the blog any more. Not quite sure why though.... There has been so much going on the last 5 months that I don't know where to start. So I guess I will start in July and work my way to December...
The month of
July...
To start this month off, we had Jaxons
5th birthday! I can't believe he is really that old now! We had all the family over for cake and ice cream. My grandparents, my parents, sister, brother, and Jaxons cousin Rani all came up. And of course we had all of Tonys family here, well except the ones that live in Hawaii. He got so many cool new toys! It was a blast!
Also in July, Jaxon got to come with me to Young Womens one night. We got to ride horses, that Chelsie and Casey brought. It was alot of fun! And Jaxon had such a good time. He loves to ride horses. I hadn't been on a horse for such a long time, but I did get up on one. Jaxon and I rode together for a little while.
(This little guy is Colter. He is Chelsie and Caseys little one. He is freaking cute!)
The month of August....
Well I can't remember alot that happened this month. But there are just a couple things. First my little man started Kindergarten. WOW!! Is he really old enough to go to school and ride a bus?? Yes he is. I was more nervous about what he was going to eat for lunch and what if the other kids pick on him, rather than him actually going to school or riding the bus. He seems to be doing just fine, and he loves riding the bus with his friends. And he even talks about a couple little girls from his class, so cute!!
This month was also Tonys 30th birthday! We really didn't do much, but it fun to tease him that he is old.
The month of September...
Jaxon started soccer! I was a little nervous cuz he is kinda a drama queen. I was thinking if he got kicked or didn't get the ball that there was going to be a melt down on the soccer field. But he actually suprised me and did so much better than I thought, only a couple of melt downs. His cousin Ashtyn played on his team too, so that was good. Tony was an assistant coach, and I think he had more fun than he will tell you. I think Jaxon thought it was pretty cool too.
And poor Kinsley got to come along for the ride whether she wanted to or not
September also brought a little fun for me...well if you call running a half marathon fun. I was impressed with my mother in law running a half, so I thought "Why can't I?" Ya, I could list a few reasons why I can't, but I won't. It was alot of hard work and motivation to train for it. I didn't do as good as I wanted, but I am still proud of myself that I finished it. Now I just have to run another one to improve my time. The half was in Pinedale,WY, the end of September. It was fun to go up and stay at a hotel and have a little get a way for a day or two.
(This hill freaking sucked, right at mile 2...ya, I walked up it, so what??!!!)
The kids and Tony had fun playing in the pool. That was Kinsleys first time in a pool, I think she had fun.
The month of
October...
Um, ya I can't remember anything...oh ya how could I forget hunting season? This year I didn't get to go with Tony because someone had to stay with Kinsley. But he got a little 2 point, and Jaxon thought it was the coolest thing ever! These pictures aren't the greatest cuz Tony took them with his phone.
And then who could ever forget
"The Thumb" incident? I had just gotten home from Park City, when Tony decides to slice the top of his left thumb with a razor knife. Awesome! He took off the glove, and then there was blood. Lots of blood. I knew he was gonna need stitches for sure. Little did I know, he was gonna need more than stitches. Went to the doctor, and all they do is wash it out, give him a tetanus shot, and put two tiny stitches in it to hold it closed. They tell us he needs surgery. Nice. He cut the top two tendons on his thumb. Like severed them, cut them. Even better. So he had surgery a couple days later. Was in a like a soft cast for 6 weeks. So that means... no work, needing help with everything basically, and irratating me.
The month of November...
I don't have anything fun for this month... I know you are bummed. We just went to my parents for Thanksgiving. Oh and we did the Black Friday shopping at the Brigham Walmart and Target on Riverdale. NEVER AGAIN!!!!! I can not believe how rude some people are and how "mine, mine, mine" people are. And the line at Target, wrapped all the way around to the back of the building at 3:30 in the morning! The stinkin store didn't open till 4!! We sat in our car till we saw people moving. No way am I gonna stand outside in that freezing cold weather! I am not THAT dumb! But we did get some good stuff for the kids, and I guess that is what matters! FYI: the Walmart in Evanston in not anything close to what the Walmart was in Brigham! You actually have a chance of getting the good stuff up here!
Oh, and I guess I did have a birthday. YA! Not! We went to Salt Lake and ate with good friends of mine. My friend Ashley and I are ten days apart, so for the last few years, we have been getting together to go eat around our birthdays. It was alot of fun, lots of laughs, and good stories. And I am sure Tony felt like a polygamist, cuz he was the only guy! HAHA!!
The month of December...
I know, I am almost done. I know it is a way tooooo loonnngg of post, but stick with me here, just a little bit longer! Well my baby, Kinsley, turned 1! No, it can't be! She can't be one already! Where did that year go? It seems like just yesterday I had her. She is doing really good, almost walking. She is letting go and walking more and more steps without help. And she gets this goofy grin on her face, "Like ya I know I am big stuff!" I just love her to death! She brings so much joy and happiness to our family. We had a party for her, and I made her a number 1 cake. She quite enjoyed the frosting!
Happy Birthday Runt!
And of course there is Christmas... just another day at our house. Tony had to work Christmas Eve, Christmas day, and the day after. So we did our "Christmas" on Christmas eve night after Tony got home from work. Jaxon was convinced that Santa was going to make a special trip to our house because his dad had to work. So while at Grandma Susans, "Santa" made that special stop. When we got home, Jaxon walked in as normal, and then when he walked into the living room, he flipped out! OMG!!!
It was freaking hilarious! I wish I would have had a camera. He was so excited! He screamed so loud! Both kids got spoiled, just as they should, and Tony spoiled me too. Kinsley had more fun playing with the boxes and whatever she could. She could have cared less about opening presents, so Jaxon did it for her. All in all, we had a great Christmas. So glad it is over for another year!
