We saw so many dolphins playing in the water and it was everything I hoped it would be. I love the playfulness and delight that dolphins possess. It has always been a desire of mine to watch them in the wild. The kids enjoyed it just as much as I did.
We stopped at Seashell Island for and hour to look for shells. The kids played in the waves, we hunted for the perfect shells, and enjoyed the sound of the kids laughing. Evan and Elsie played in the sand right under the dock.

Sienna's cache of shells.
Spencer and Evan
After hiking up the forever long dock in Strappey the boot and then trying to keep up with everyone on the uneven sand and not let the pain ruin the moment, Spencer looked at me and said, "I'd laugh but I can tell it isn't funny." I wasn't sure if I wanted to laugh or cry myself.
I sat down to wait it out and my faithful little sidekick sat right down next to me. I love this girl. I really love her. And I love Amy for taking this picture.
Another day we went on the Airboat tour. The kids held this baby alligator and we saw one in the water while in the boat but what was serendipitous about the trip was the dolphin family that was swimming and playing in the bay. It was fun to try to guess where they would pop up next. We enjoyed the leathered, humorous tour guide and the turns and jumps he made with the boat!
Another DaY AT The BEACH
My BOYS
This was probably one of the best moments of the entire trip! In a way my broken leg was a blessing in disguise because it brought about this experience. I wanted to play in the water but didn't have my boot on so I couldn't walk down there. Brent carried to the waves and let me lean on him and jump with him as the waves hit. I was so scared the waves would take my one standing leg out from under me and I would be swept away but my loving, supportive, unwavering husband was right by my side and he let me hold on to him and use his strength and stability to steady myself. We laughed so hard with each new wave. I think I cried too. I won't ever forget that moment. And then he carried me back to safety. I love him. I cherish my moments like this with him.
This vacation was one of our most favorite and we LOVE the ELMORES and traveling with them! They make trips MaGiCaL and this GETAWAY was no exception. Thanks guys!
