School Easter Party

Luke's school had their Easter celebration today. We had to compromise on location due to the rainy weather, but I think all the little ones enjoyed hunting their eggs and eating their sweets.

Luke and his best bud Grant.

Yum

Chomp, chomp

The three stooges. Luke, Grant and Kane are the bigger guys in the class. Sometimes we have to remind them to calm down and not play so hard, but all in all they have a good time together.

Bottoms up buddy.

A little fuzzy, but I love it.

Great day today. Happy Easter!

Church Egg Hunt

Our church had its annual egg hunt today after mass. Luke really had a great time hunting eggs with his buddies Grant and Elizabeth.

Checking out the loot.

Hey buddy, what do you got?

Hmm...what to try first?

Yummy, marshmellow!

Yummy, goldfish.

Pretty Lizzie.

This child has Mommy's sweet tooth!!

Our good friends, Matt and Kristine.

Grant was a little unsure about the Easter Bunny.

Picture with the Easter Bunny was one giant leap from last year for our little guy. All smiles and high fives! We were so proud.

Great, fun day in the beautiful sun.

Total side note here. Luke has out grown his crib and pac n play. We are not fans our having our kiddo share the bed with us on trips, so we had to get creative as floor palletes did not go over well. Answer, enter the toddler cot. This is the best $14.99 we have ever spent! We folded a really cushy blanket, laid it on top of the cot, then put a crib sheet on top. Whola, happy, sleeping kiddo with his own space. Double bonus, this cot folds up like a sports chair so easy traveling abd is very low to the ground. Just thought I would share this for any families who reguarly travel with toddlers. Great buy!! Thanks Walmart.

Recent Happenings

We have been really busy here in the past few weeks.  Luke suffered another round of double ear infections and come to foudn out his tubes had fallen out.  We went back in for round two of tubes and removed adenoids too.  Luke is doing so much better now that he can hear again.  He is never short on words that is for sure.  Just one short week after his surgery we suffered a set back with RSV.  Our poor little guy went through the ringer on this one, but it is back to his playful self.

I love this picture!  Have to love the belly.

We headed to Jackson, MS for my cousins wedding and had a great time.  Unfortunately I was not able to snap any pictures at the wedding as Luke kept us pretty busy, but I was able to get this one while we played at the Jackson Childrens Museum.
Legos!!  This makes Mommy so happy to see the tradition is carrying on.
So many toys so little time.

We are getting very curious these days, especially in the kitchen.  All sharp objects are put away and we constantly watch to make sure all boiling pot handles are turned in.
Silly boy, yes they are the kid friendly qtips.

Our big boy headed to church.

Thought is was a fun picture to include.  Luke's best bud is now potty trained.  The system Jena used worked great for Grant so we are going to give it a go during spring break.  More to follow....

A Big Boy Bed

After catching Luke halfway over hisncrib rails we decided it was time to make the switch to a big boy bed. Boy does Luke love it. Grant and Luke spent the evening playing together on it.

Luke was so excited. He kept running and jumping onto the bed and jabbering on and on.

Luke's best bud!

Luke was so excited about the change. He had a good nap today in his new bed and we hope he will have a good night's sleep tonight. Fingers crossed!

New beginnings

Christmas and New Years

We headed to Beaumont to celebrate Christmas. Luke had a great time playing with his cousins.

Yummy Christmas cookies!

Lots of goodies and gifts.

One of the highlights of Christmas morning. We all were given marshmellow guns from Taddy and Grandpa. Boy did we have fun. Marshmellows were everywhere. Taddy I am so sorry about all the smashed marshmellows in your carpet.
