NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING OF THE MALHEUR COUNTY BUDGET COMMITTEE

The Malheur County Budget Committee will meet on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 and Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at the Malheur County Courthouse, Room #106, Vale to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027. The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. each day.

The meeting is a public meeting and deliberations of the Budget Committee will take place.  Any person may participate in the meeting and discuss the proposed budget with the Budget Committee.

Request For Proposals – Federal 49 USC Section 5310 – Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities

Malheur County announces an opportunity for eligible transportation providers to apply for Federal assistance under 49 U.S.C. Section 5310, Formula Grants For the Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities Program.  A total of $331,122 has been allocated by the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) for projects located in Malheur County.  $245,426 in a Surface Transportation Block Grant (STBG) and $85,697 Rural Apportionment.  Applicants are required to contribute a local cash match of 10.27% of STBG funds and 20% of Rural Apportionment funds.  Applications for funding must be submitted to the Malheur County no later than 5:00 p.m. on April 10, 2026.   Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.    Successful applications will be funded for the 2027-2029 years.  Application instructions are available on the county website at www.malheurco.org.    Please contact Kim Ross at kross@malheurco.org or (541) 473-5124 for further information.
