Summer vacation

Part 1-Utah stop!

For our Summer vacation we love to go home to see our family.

This year we got to meet up with Ty's family in Utah. We got to see his sister that lives far away and her family. It was a fun weekend to have most of us there. We packed lots of fun into 2 days!

We made a trip to Lagoon with Ty's family and cousins. The kids had a great time and loved riding on the rides. We stayed all day and we were beat by the time we left! The girls talked me into riding one of the rides right before the park closed. It made my stomach hurt a little but was so much fun!!

These 3 talked Grandma into getting their face painted... They were so proud of their faces. J wouldn't wash his off for a couple of days! He face was red for a while! He thought it was funny when we were in stores and people would call him spide

rman!!

Here is most of the Overall family. We are missing one brothers family and one other brother, but at least we got some of us together and the picture turned ok pretty cute!

family events

Here are things that we have been up to this past month!

The girls got student of the month. They have worked so hard to keep up on their work and get caught up with all the other students. I was so proud of them. They have done great at starting a new school. I was nervous that it would be hard for them but they have met new friends and have been great students. I am really blessed to have determined girls.

It was T's birthday! She turned 10. How do I have a 10 year old. She has gotten so big. She loves pandas, pink, side ponytails, earrings, reading and being a great helper. We love having her in our family and is a great older sister.

It was crazy hair day!! Thanks to pinterest I found some fun hair styles! A has her hair wrapped around cones to have it stick up and out! T hair has 2 cupcakes in it, can u see the cherries on top!

It was fun and the girls loved how it turned out!!!

Legoland

We had a great family outing at Legoland. J was so excited to go and couldn't wait to see the Star Wars Legos. This was a day I have to document since this was one of the reasons we moved here!

Here are the highlights of the day.

Here J is so excited to see all the Legos. He has talked non stop about it. They were pretty cool. So many fun little legos put together.

Chewie was pretty neat. They only had 3 big statues and the rest were about half the size.

The famous Darth was there too. Its amazing that they built that with Legos.

This little buddy was so good. He sat in his stroller and waited for the kids to ride their rides and do the fun things!!

It was a fun family outing.. hopefully we can go again to hit the rest of the park.

Fun outings this month!

Here is an update on our family!! we are still alive and doing well. We have tried to do something fun every weekend to help us get out and see the fun places around us.

Since we can't play out front of our house we go to the playground, which is around the corner and play there after school. The kids are loving playing in the sand and tonight they created lots of fun bridges. Its great to be creative and I'm trying to get them use to the sand so we can hit the beach this summer!

Baby M loves our neighbors dog. The dog is really old and loves kids. M loves to pet him and be by him.. I don't so much like the dog hair or the slobber!!!

Here's our new location. We are enjoying this house but miss our old one. Once we start making fun memories in this house I'm sure we will be sad when we leave this one too. If u look close u will notice that our licence plate has changed states.. That was sad! I kind of liked driving a car with Oregon plates. Once we changed them it kind of makes it official. We aren't from OR anymore!

We went to a flower farm right off the freeway. There were lots of pretty flowers and a fun tractor, they had the best strawberry milkshakes too!

We went to a Star Wars Event at the Library. I dressed the kids up. Mr. J was in heaven. We had yoda soda, watch a short movie, colored, feed Jabba the Hut, saw some storm troopers and he even won the drawing for a prize! It was fun!

We went on a fun hike along the coast. It was beautiful to be above the ocean and look out. We saw some seals swimming. it was perfect weather for a hike, cloudy and not to warm! The kids had a lot of fun and I think we need to go on more hikes! Miss A got some great comments on her skirt while hiking!!! Many people said what a great outfit for hiking!! Of course she just smiled and laughed!

Legoland was our last weekends fun event. I will have to download the pictures and get them up so u can see the fun day we had there! Right now we are trying to do fun things to build fun memories of our new place!

Easter Weekend

A week after moving we decided to take a trip since we were closer to family. Luckily my parents were flying to see my brother again, yes 2 times in 2 months. We aren't even in the run for favorite child this year!!! Since we already know who is getting it!! Anyway.... we drove over to Phoenix to see my brother and his family! We had spring break that week so we got to stay a few extra days and let the kids hang out.. My brothers family was so nice to let the girls stay home from school and play with us!

The first morning we woke up the girls let the dog in the house and Tyler was sleeping on the couch and it jumped on him and licked his face and woke him up. They thought that was so funny. I woke up to 4 little girls laughing their heads off!!! They loved walking the dog and taking it to the park!!

These two were so funny. They would dance to music, play star wars, watch batman, play trains and had so much fun together. J was so sad to leave and kept asking if he could go back to see his cousin.

Last time we were in AZ it was Easter and we had an egg hunt so we had another one again this year. We went to the park across the street and had an Easter egg hunt! They were so glad uncle Colt was visiting for the weekend! They all love to tease him.

Ms. S could get Mason to laugh every time. He was sure scared of uncle Doug's laugh but S could get him to start laughing shortly after. He loved the attention!!

It wouldn't be a gathering if we didn't have some type of fight. We had a water and silly string fight. The kids loved it and attacked Doug and Colt the most!!

As always when we get together we have to have some type of photo to show our love!! Our two babies were asleep but we got most of us. It was fun to have my parents there for the weekend.

We got to go to the cemetary while we were there. It is such a beautiful spot. Brit brought chairs and we sat and let the kids play and we enjoyed the beauty. It finally got dark so we had to load the kids up!! and we wanted to get home to eat chocolate roll!!!

We went to this great park!! I would love one like this by my house! We feed the ducks there and played on 2 playgrounds and raced on a soccer field. It was our last day there and the kids just wanted to stay. After the park we went to McDonald's and Aunt Brit bought them an ice cream cone. Which when I asked J what the highlight of the trip was he said..... That Aunt Brit bought him Ice cream!!!

While we were there we got to go see Ty's sister and sister in law. We got to see the new baby but... why I didn't take pictures I'm not sure. He is so cute and we didn't get to stay long enough.

Its fun having family close by at least 7-8 hours is close to us!!

Of course the highlight of the trip.......... Tyler got stung by a scorpion. we were asleep and he jumped out of bed saying something bit him. So I started looking around for something and sure enough there was one on the bed. Luckily my brother had woke up because we turned the hall light on and came to see which kid was awake... but it was just us!! So Doug killed the scorpion since it was his house!!! We iced it and made sure he was going to live. It wouldn't be a vacation if we didn't have some fun story to tell about Tyler!!

Thanks Doug n Brit for letting us stay and for taking us to fun things. We had a great time with you!! Glad we live closer!

Saying good bye

It was a sad day as we finally had to say good bye to the life we have known for almost 5 years. So many memories have been made here.

We bought a new house, had 2 babies born, had so many friends come into our house, lots of cousin parties, lots of birthday parties, fun bike riding, playing tag, jump roping, 4-square, wall ball, playing on our play ground, water fights, doing lots of crafts, neighborhood parties and many many more fun memories.

The last 4 1/2 years have been very good to our family. We have learned to love lots of people. We have the best neighborhood that will be very hard to replace. We have played outside everyday at 4 when the kids get home from school.

We have the best friends here. We loved having birthday dinners or going out to eat with friends, or having scone parties or dessert nights at our house.

During this move our friends have gone above and beyond to have lots of parties and make sure we leave with a bang!!(even though I didn't want too.. I wanted to just up and leave quietly!)

Here are few highlights to help me remember the great times!!! I had way to many to add all of them!!

Here we are in front of our house before closing it up and leaving. That was the hardest thing I've done in a long time. So many memories that I felt like I had to just leave. It was really sad. I didn't think it would be that hard to leave a house but we have really loved our house.

As I walked through it when it was empty it really broke my heart to see everything gone.

Here are some of our cute friends that came to say goodbye to us. Oh we miss those sweet girls.

Our neighborhood tree that the kids loved playing in. Our kids loved playing with our neighbors. All of our neighbors were so good to come outside and play with us.

My friends threw a party for me so I could say good bye to our new ward friends and our old ward friends. It was so fun to see some of the girls from the LO Ward we have missed seeing them since we split. Thanks to my sweet friends for putting that together. It was bitter sweet. So many girls that have touched my heart that I will never forget. It was really hard to say good bye to them.

don't even know where to start.... They are the best of friends. Man I am missing them so much right now! good thing for telephone, emails, and skype!!! sorry girls but you will still keep in touch with me! That was really hard to finally say good bye to all of them. My heart broke as I knew that I wouldn't see some of them for along time. They have been so involved in my life that to not have them be apart of my everyday life is hard!

The star wars boys!! He misses his friends and just wants someone to come and play star wars with him!!!

We are missing Oregon but are excited for a change in our life. Thanks to all our LO friends... You are all wonderful and we miss you and love you all!!!

Birthday parties

The end of May and first of June is a crazy time for us.

I have 2 birthdays a week apart and that means 2 cakes, 2 parties, presents and lots of fun!!

So here is a couple of pictures of our fun!

Little Miss A wanted a rainbow cake. She saw this cake and wanted a party to be around this cake!! So we stayed up all night making the cake!

The birthday girl and the very tall leaning cake. One layer wasn't as firm as it was suppose to be and it made it tilt a little!! We were afraid it was going to tip over but it held on strong and made it look like a piece of art! it was a fun cake to make but not to cut and we have lots and lots of leftovers!!

They play really well together and still love playing barbies, doing crafts and riding bikes!!

We had a fun party for T. It was design party. We made clothes for paper dolls. The girls had a great time making them and we didn't have time to make our fun glitter pens but there's always next time.

Happy Birthday to my girls who are getting so big!!! how do I have a 9 year old and a 6 year old!
