Happy Birthday Drew!

 Happy Birthday to our DREW!
Since Drew's bday was on Sunday we got his 1 yr old pics taken the day before.  We had Alice and Cole jump in for a couple shots!
Here are some of our favorites!

It's my party and I'll cry if I want to!

 Yummy!

Here he is with his bday waffle!

Loving every bite!

That night we had all our family to celebrate this cute little guy!

Drew and Grandma Joan!

Andrew and Drew were almost twins!

Instead of cake and ice-cream we celebrated over
MILK AND COOKIES!

Here is the spread!
DELICIOUS!

ABOUT DREW!
nicknames: Drewie, Drewie Drew, Drewskie
Things you love to do: play, play, play, play with Alice and Cole, play with any toys, crawl around (sometimes walk), eat, splash in water, snuggle (although not as much lately :) as you're getting more mobile!), read stories, go on walks.
You love your binki and blankie, you find the corner of your blankie and tickle the side of your face with it! (Daddy did the same thing, you must have got that from him) So Cute!
You can say: Ma-ma, Da-da, Ba-ba, Hi, and we think you are trying to say Alice (you say this "a" sound and the "s" which sound like a swear word, so I won't write that, but Cole did the same this as a baby, so cute!
Drew you are the best baby!  You are as SWEET as they come, super SMILEY, so LOVABLE, CUDDLY,  and you make everyone HAPPY by just being around you.
Of all you siblings you look the most like Ashley!

May Recap

May was busy and fun.

To start off I helped with a sharing booth at Women's Conference down at BYU with these lovely ladies, Brook & Courtnie.  Our topic was making music as a family.  It was a lot of work but a great experience!

Cole's latest obsession = LEGOS!

We had a get together with some mission buddies.  I love that not only are they Paul's friends, but mine too, and we just love their cute families and got to meet Brian's little baby Seth, such a cutie!
Here is a pic of them a few weeks ago.
Krahenbuhl, Pattison, and of course Paul!

P-day on the Mission!

And another from the Mission!

We also got to visit with our niece Jessica and her little John!  Drew and John are going to be the best of buddies!  We hope they move back to UT soon!

Here is the ground we put together for our shed!
It's made of pavers, then we poured sand over the top to fill in the cracks!
Hope it's level!

Paul building the shed, with Alice as his assistant!

Another project! (May was full of yard work!)
We put a layer of dark soil from THE DUMP (best stuff and cheap) down over all our beds!
Looks awesome! - I'll have to add a pic later, but Cole LOVED the big mound of dirt.
He was in heaven with his dump truck!

Drew liv'n lucky at Daddy's softball game!

Alice & her cute friend Abby at their end of year tumbling performance!

Drew's latest trick, sitting in bins!
He literally played in this bin of cars for 40 minutes straight!

MEMORIAL DAY

Alice and Cole visiting cousin Jacob's grave!

Elle was Ashley's best friend.  Elle and her family came to visit Ashley's grave while we were there.  We loved visiting with the Adamson's, they are some of our favorite people!  Elle drew the cutest peacocks for Ashley!

 Us and Adamson's

We love and miss our sweet little Ashley and can't wait to be with her again someday!

We also visited our good friend Dave's grave. I wish we would have taken a picture with all of Dave's family and one of my best friends, Dave's wife Kelli, and her family while we were there.  We just love them!

Looked out back to see this double rainbow, pretty cool!

On the last day of May we hit Cowabunga for the first time this season and look forward to many more! It was kinda chilly so we pretty much had the whole park to ourselves!
Kids loved it!

Sunday Family Time!

We are loving this weather!
We had a super fun evening playing with the kids in the backyard, and ended the evening roasting starburst over the fire!
I feel so blessed to have these adorable kids to raise! They are the joy of my life!

Fall!

I LOVE FALL!

In September Paul and some other neighbors did a bike relay race called
SALT TO SAINT!
They rode there bikes from the capital in Salt Lake to Saint George.  They rented a motorhome for those not riding at the moment. They had a great time and each totaled roughly 100 miles! Here is Paul and MJ riding a leg together on the west side of Utah lake.  Jill and I went to cheer them on!

The kids made signs and cheered them on!

Here is some cute artwork from Alice.  The piles stack up on a daily basis, so I'm saving some favorites to take pictures of & remember!

Grandma & Grandpa Calton are such wonderful grandparents, we love them so much!

Alice is loving her tumbling class.  Here are her splits that she is working on!

Like Father Like Son!

Alice showing Drew a movie on the iPod Touch!

I was cleaning up toys on afternoon just days before Ashley's birthday and found this written on the magna doodle!  I love little tender mercies like this.  I wonder how close some times Ashley and Alice really are, brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it!

Looked outside to check on Cole playing in the backyard and he was just hanging out on this rock!  He's such a cute little guy.

And here he is helping raking of the endless leaves in the backyard!
Such a good helper!

BYU's Blackout Game!!!
This was the Homecoming game, which they invite former player to a little pre game thing and then have them come on the field during half time!  Cole went on the field with Paul and loved it!  Paul kept telling Cole this was the field he would play on someday!
I'm not so sure...I don't want the possibility of him getting hurt, with all the concussions and stuff these days.  What's safest position...kicker...maybe he could do that!!! :)
We just stayed for the first 1/2, but we had a great time!

Grandma Joan and Aunt Linda were so sweet and just let my kids have fun and play there owe little 2/4 yr. old version of mini golf!  Grandpa Wayne, Uncle David, Amy and Chelsea had a really good competitive game going on behind us!  We ate at the Brick Oven across the street before!  It was so fun and Yummy!  Thanks Connelley's for planning such a fun FHE!
