LOTOJA 2011

Last weekend was Lotoja, the bike race that Chris, my mom and dad have been training for since March. They've put in so much time and so many miles on the road! Unfortunately my mom dislocated and broke her elbow while training for the ride 3 weeks before the race. We were all so sad for her because she had been training so hard!! Chris and my dad were able to do the race and both did such an AMAZING job! I'm so proud of them and very impressed with what they accomplished! They are both such great cyclists, it's so fun to watch them! The girls and I, my mom, Chris's parents, and Sierra and Emma were the support crew along the 206 mile race. We all had such a great time cheering them on, and being there to get them food and refill their bottles along the way! The environment on race day is so inspiring, we were all very excited we got to be apart of such a great day! Great Job to Chris, Neil, Carter, Mac & Matt!!

The guys first stop in Preston, ID

Kennedy was a great little helper, she loved helping with the wagon that carried

everyone's food and drinks. She was great at helping Grandpa Sam pull it!

Waiting for the guys in Montpieler

I got some shirts made for the girls & I showing some love for

Dad & Grandpa. Grandma's name is on there because she was suppose to be doing it.

Does this man look 64 to you?

Here's Neil in Preston, ID

Chris & Carter at one of the stops lookin' fresh!

The final stop in Alpine, WY. 46 miles to the finish!

Almost there!

We saw Chris about 10 miles from the finish line when we were driving by.

This was taken from the car.

He did it!!!

I put this picture on to show you how skinny Chris has gotten over the past 6 months.

His legs look like the size of mine from the back. He is within 20 pounds of me right now!

Maybe now that the long rides are over some pounds will be put back on:)

The guys on the team!

Matt, Neil, Chris Carter & Mac

AMAZING JOB!!

We all stayed in Jackson for the next couple of nights and had breakfast together the next morning and walked around the beautiful town. Chris had a wonderful group of people who came to support him. We are so very grateful to them!!

Finally, A decent picture. At least we're all looking in the same direction!

LOTOJA has been such a fun thing that we've been able to be apart of for the last 2 year and will probably be apart of our yearly race traditions. We love the town and love that we get to enjoy a beautiful place with our family and friends. Thanks again to everyone who came to support Chris! It meant the world to have you there!

"Your the Best Cooker Ever!"

Anyone who knows me at all, knows that I do not like to cook. I'd eat out for every meal if I was financially able to do so. When I do cook it's very bland, and pretty healthy. Meals take me less than 15 minutes to cook, because it's more like I heat things up. Not really cooking! Sad I know! I just have absolutely no desire to learn how to cook! So last night we got home at about 8:30 from St. George and we were having a pretty late dinner so I made Kennedy some Mac and Cheese. She took a bite and said "Thank you so much for the Mac and Cheese mommy, your are the best cooker EVER!" I just started laughing hysterically, that's the first time anyone has ever said that to me. It made me feel good, even though it was coming from the mouth of a three year old.

Summer...Coming to an end!

When swimming lessons are over you know Summer must be coming to an end. It's so sad! Kennedy has been taking swimmimg lessons at Murray pool for the past 8 weeks and today was her last day. She has learned so much and has become such a great little swimmer! She's so brave when she jumps off the diving board without thinking twice, is great at floating on her back, and loves most of all to swim under the water while scooping her arms. I have loved watching her progress over the Summer and am amazed at how quickly children learn. Great job my little fish!!

On our way to the last day of lessons

Daddy has come to watch before and decided to join us on her last day.

Here with Piper!

Grandma Shawna & Grandpa Neil came to watch also.
Here's Grandpa chasing Piper around!

Miss Kennedy floating on her back like a pro

Her cute little class sitting on the wall.

Kennedy is 3rd from the left.

On the last day of class they get to go down the water slide a few times

All done, time to get out!

Great job sweetheart!!

We love you!

Piper Turns 1!

Our little baby girl turned ONE on August 4th. It's so crazy how quickly times goes by! I remember just like it was yesterday bringing her home from the hospital. She has grown into quite the little spit fire, she wants things done her way or no way! It's so hilarious how different Kennedy & Piper's personalities are. Piper is a walking fool now, and is pretty much running around the house. She loves her sister Kennedy like crazy and wants to do everything she does! She is extremely vocal and jabbers all day long. She is such a joy to have in our lives and always keeps us on our toes! We love little Pipes so much!

For her birthday party I decided to do a beach party theme since we would be doing it outside at the pool in my parents backyard. It turned out really cute and I think everyone had a great time! Chris did the cake of course and it turned out perfect! I'm so thankful to have a creative husband! We're so thankful to all of the family and friends who came, we love you all so much and are so appreciative of everything you do for our kids!

Happy 1st Birthday Piper!!

The flip flop cakes Chris made

This was my job. This is about as creative as I get.

Sticking umbrellas & gummy sharks on cupcakes.

These were the party favors for the kids

Kennedy spent the entire 3 hours of the party in the pool.

She's our little fish!

She wasn't to stoked on opening her presents, but she loved her Tangled doll she got from the Thomsen family!

She didn't love to play in her cake as much as Kennedy did, but she did have a few bites!

This is Emma, an honorary member of our family. She doesn't hold babies, so now that Piper is 1 she can hold her. YEA!
