Total Solar Eclipse,
Blanco, Texas – April 8, 2024

In early April, 2024 I traveled to the hill country of Texas with my daughter to experience and photograph the total solar eclipse. This was the 2nd TSE that we experienced together (the first was in central Oregon in August, 2017). Cloud cover intermittently obscured the partial phases of the eclipse, but during the  4+ minutes of totality the clouds thinned enough so we could see (and photograph!) this amazing phenomenon. As with the total solar eclipse images I made in 2017, I was more interested in an image of the eclipse in the landscape, as I experienced it, than a close-up of of the sun, because that is the type of image that is the most meaningful to me. Please contact me if you are interested in a fine art print if this image.
