My FIRST Pioneer Day

Saturday was Pioneer Day in Utah. I've never lived in Utah over the summer, so I've never celebrated it. I went to Angie's house. We had a BBQ, played Koob (I have no idea how to spell that), and had icecream with peaches. Yum! Later we did some fireworks. Bryant was mesmerized. It was a wonderful evening. Even if Tim did beat me and Angie at Koob...Koobe...Kube...Coub...Coeb (like shoe).

World's Largest Water Ballooon Fight!

Vanae and I were in the World's Largest Water Balloon Fight on campus on Friday. It was very hot and crowded, but once the balloons started flying I just closed my eyes and chucked the balloons. There was so much water hitting me and dripping down my face that I felt like I was in the shower. I almost reached for the shampoo. When I looked up at the balloons, there were so many I think they nearly blocked out the sun. It was a blast. We also got free lunch and T-shirts. I gave blood so I got two free shirts. Sweet!

I'm beginning a blog. I don't know why I'm choosing to do this during a time of such turmoil, but I want to keep track of my life in words and pictures a little better than I have. I am also a terrible flake when it comes to keeping in touch with people. I am in grad school, attempting to procure a Master's degree in Teacher Education - Literacy. This means that I am back at BYU, once again living in Utah. Things are certainly cheaper here. My life is crazy and moneyless once again. Am I regressing?
