Inspired By Cupcakes

I had to play along with the current (nearly closing) Inspired By Challenge - who isn't inspired by cupcakes???

I love these Big and Bold cupcake stamps by Colorado Craft Company.  I did a bit of no-line colouring using Ink On 3 Fadeout ink to stamp the outline, then colouring with Distress Inks, Zigs, Tombows, watercolour pencils - basically anything to add colour.  I love that the sentiment has a matching die.

I'm also playing along with Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Clean and Simple.

STAMPlorations Inspiration #315

It's Inspiration Tuesday over at STAMPlorations, and today I've made a quick sympathy card.  The colour block background was made by inking and spritzing an acrylic stamp block and pressing it onto the card, then half-lifting, pressing and lifting till I was happy with how the colour was collecting.  As the colours started to turn to mud where they meet, I blotted some of it up with the corner of a tissue.

I stamped the images from Deepti's Wooded set and made the sentiment from Blossom Overture, stamping it to line up with the bottom of the colour block.

Tickled Pink

What do you do with a mop-up panel full of pinks?  Stamp a flamingo, of course!

(I didn't think to take the photo till after I'd cut it out!)

I stamped the leaves from the same set (Colorado Craft Company - Tickled Pink Flamingo) onto my card base using spritzed Distress Ink, then added the flamingo, the flower posy and sentiment.

I'm entering this into Just Add Ink - Just Choose Two.  I chose Feathers and Petals.

Blooming Great

The postman has been busy this week delivering crafty supplies that may have fallen into my Easter basket :)

I had fun playing with this Tim Holtz Brushstroke Flowers 3 die.  I cut out all the pieces from mixed media paper, then dipped each piece into spritzed Distress Inks.  Once they'd dried I layered them all up onto a card that I'd splattered and stamped a sentiment onto.

I'm actually playing in a few challenges!

STAMPlorations Things With Wings Hop and Linky Party

Hello!  We've got a blog hop and linky party going on at STAMPlorations, and it's all to do with Wings.

I've used CUTplorations Dragonfly Layering Dies from a sheet of Distress splatter to create an all-over pattern on a vibrant orange card.

Pop on over to the STAMPlorations blog for all the details and hop along!

STAMPlorations Inspiration #314

Hellooo!  We've got some fabulous inspiration for you over at STAMPlorations with our regular Tuesday Inspiration post.

For my contribution, I made a card using my Parfumerie set, which I've not used in a long time.  Come to think of it, I've not used perfume in a long time.  Thanks, pandemic!  But our lockdown is eased further (but not fully) next Monday so we can get out the glad rags for some limited 'life'.  Non-essential shops opening, pubs/restaruants with outside seating (it would have to warm up a heck of a lot for me to be sitting outside!).

Anyway, back to the card.  The embossed stencilled panel (Weaving) was in my stash so I sloshed on some Distress Ink and stamped my images.  I stamped the sentiment on spare white card and matted it onto black before attaching it to the panel.

Seize The Birthday - Squares

Hello, it's time for a new challenge at Seize The Birthday, and JoAnn has chosen squares.

My square is a little bit tipsy from the gin :) But don't worry, none of it was spilled in the making of this card.

Pop on over to the Seize The Birthday blog for some squares from the rest of the DT and our surprise party guest, Lynda of Loopyloocards.  If you don't want to use squares in your card, you can always play along with our Anything Goes option.
