After spending six weeks away at training in 29 Palms, the kids and I were more than a little anxious to get our hands on Daddy again! Corey and I were unsure of how Brockton would react to Corey's return. We didn't know if he would pull his shy bit and run away or if he would run to him like the girls. It was soooo cute...Brockton went right into Corey's arms and just snuggled right up to him and wouldn't let go. Melted my heart! As hard as military life can be with always saying goodbye, it really is a blessing at the same time. When you are constantly faced with the reality of forced separation, the time that you DO get to spend together is that much more precious. Corey and I never take for granted the days that we get to be together and I know that through every deployment, work up and underway, our relationship and our love for each other has only grown stronger and stronger.

Just a Little Dunkin Shmunkin
In New England, there is a Dunkin Donuts on every corner. Literally every corner. In California, they don't exist. Weird. I blame Starbucks. However, when Corey transferred up to Camp Pendleton, he was greeted with a lovely site. A Dunkin Donuts...attached to the Exchange. Lovely. So, naturally, once the kids and I moved up there we made it a point to spend many a Family Home Evening enjoying stuffing our faces with sprinkles and donuts. It really is a must.

Oliver and Cosette
The kids and I were super excited to get the chance to spend the day with "Auntie" Aimee and her adorable kiddos, Oliver and Cosette! The kids all had a blast playing together and didn't want to go home. It's so fun that we live close enough to each other to get together every few months.

Up Up and Away
Brockton working on his pilot's license. Yes, we start 'em young in this family.
Obviously, Brockton just loves to look at the camera and have his picture taken.
He begs be for it all day. Yep.
I love, love, love Brockton's red hues in his hair! I'm pretty sure that it will go away as he gets older and Corey starts insisting on cutting his hair super short. I'm trying to prepare myself to say goodbye to his lovely locks...but man I secretly hope they stick around forever!
Azure is so into riding her bike and it is simply adorable to watch her zoom around the culdesac (and basketball court). She has learned how to stand up while riding and how to "jump" her bike (and can actually get her front wheel several inches off of the ground while doing it). Every night when Corey gets home, Azure can be found at the end of our driveway and as soon as she has gotten in her hug, she begs him to ride bikes with her. So cute!

January Randomness
Sooooo many awesome moments happened in January and several were caught on my phone. Here's a peek at some of my very favorites throughout the month...
This little stud discovered his Daddy's beanie collection
And he passed out in the car on the way home from church.
Nursery will really wear a fellow out!
Brockton and Jax get cozy sharing a high chair at Chick-fil-a
Skyla loves to walk home from school with her little friend Chloe.
They're in the same grade...not that you'd ever know!
I never tire of staring at these big, beautiful, magnified eyes!!
I surprised the kids with donuts.
You would have thought it was Christmas all over again!
Brockton decided that under the kitchen table was a perfect hiding spot to poop.
I found little man the cutest Patriots outfit. Ever.
Brockton and Azure wanted to match Skyla with glasses of their own.
Whatcha gonna do when they come for you?
Hot cocoa (or just plain marshmellows if your name is Brockton) before bed.
Brockton fell and busted open his lip sooooo bad! He bled through nearly a dozen wipes!
Training him young to fill Tom Brady's shoes in 20 years!
Little stinker has decided it is much more fun to watch tv on the back of the couch.
Ummmm...yeah, I think he was trying to hint that he wanted to take a bath with me after our morning run.
Corey's pippin has already grown back so much since it's pruning!
The girls love to track it's progress.
Azure is always writing the sweetest notes and stories.
Turns out Brockton loves oatmeal just like his Daddy.
I really miss Corey. Six weeks is a long time.
First I sent Corey a picture of my sad "I'm missing you" face and then he got some kisses.
You know how it goes.
It's been raining in the morning on the way to school.
Brockton is always prepared.
Sometimes he even puts on one of his sister's shoes just in case things get really dicey.
What did I tell you about the back of the couch??
Often times when Brockton is trying to poop, he perfectly resembles someone praying to Islam.
Our home teacher came over and taught us a wonderful lesson.
Brockton and Sky drew pictures for Daddy.
The sunsets are crazy amazing here so close to the ocean!!
Poor little Azure got sick with a nasty fever.
Sky and Brocks entertained themselves in Daddy's "bird cage"
Sometimes I don't manage to get Brockton in his bed in time and he takes matters into his own hands.
I found some turquoise nail polish that I'm pretty much obsessed with.
Oh, and I paid tribute to me crazy smooshed embarrassing awesome thumbs.
The end.
