Well hello 2010! What a great start to the new year we have had around here. I kicked it off with a trip to Nashville with 3 other photographers from the area for Imaging USA...WOW...overload...overwhelmed...but in a good way! Lots of fun learning more about the photography world. By this time next year maybe I will have implemented all I learned in my 4 day seminar and tradeshow experience. My favorite part about the whole trip was the time I spent chatting my my new friends- love you guys and thanks for asking me to go!
I was back in town just in time to clean the house and do a little laundry before my sister-n-law arrived with her husband and my 3 yr old niece Hayleigh. We spent the next 5 days celebrating Savannah's 7th birthday-woohoo...I am getting old. Its crazy to think I have hit that season...you know the older kid season...with a 9 and 7 year old now...thank goodness for baby J (making me think I can still hang with the young moms) but he is turning 3 in less than 2 months.
And finally...we began the Fast along with so many others from our church. This is probably one of the primary reasons I love my church. Every year for 21 days- the church enters a time of fasting and praying. It always comes at just the right time and in God's faithfulness He always brings me back to the place where I need to be...in His arms...in His will...completely focused on eternity where the things of this world fade away...really fade away! I love this time so much and I love my God so much! Its my time to remember how I must decrease so that my God can increase...its always a time of huge revelation for me where God directs me and talks to me about the year ahead. So I am in a sweet place and ready for the year 2010.
