We LOVE LOVE LOVE Greer!!
All I can say is that every single member of our family absolutely LOVES Greer! It would be a dream to live here! I don't have much to say just that we are eating very well, waking up early, going to bed late and having fun all day long. So that means that Curtis and I are pretty much dead but the kids are alive as they can be! The weather is perfect and this place is just gorgeous! I'm not even going to mention much about how much Curtis and the kids loves the insects, bugs and nature around them....let the pictures do the talking now...:)
Best 4th of July EVER!
This year we had the best though! Lucas could barely contain himself while waiting to drive up there. He was very emotional and crying more than the usual. Friday morning, he was the first up and ready to leave right away for the parade. We were a bit late but made it just in time. As the cars, trucks, horses were going by, people were throwing candy to the kids watching the parade. Probably Lucas, second best thing about the parade. The kids were jumping, grabbing, running for the candy, including Josh and Isabel. However, Lucas analyzed things a bit long and by the time he was reaching for a candy, someone would snatch it from him. A couple of times, Isabel or Josh tried to and we told them to let Lucas get some too. We had to inspect to see if it was gluten free before he could have it. Josh and Bels never had their hands or mouths empty but Lucas was so happy and overwhelmed that he did not have as much candy. That was until this big truck stopped the parade right in front of us, this dad came out with two hands full of candy and handed them to Curtis and Lucas. He said, "I have a son with Autism too, he is in the back of the truck." I think he said something like enjoy the candy or the parade right after. I was trying to contain my tears and didn't pay any more attention. I wish I had thanked him more. It was such a simple act but it meant a lot to us. Lucas didn't say anything but we know he loved the candy! Not everybody stops to notice things around, we are always so busy with our own lives. This dad that knows our situation too well made our 4th of July celebration just so much more special through a simple and loving act!
Thank you Springville Dad! Thank you for giving us the best 4th of July!
We were too busy during the parade so no time to take pics :(
Fun times with Tio/Uncle Eduardo...
Somehow we all knew my brother Eduardo would some day go to Japan on his mission. He really wanted to go to South Korea or Japan. Of course, he is VERY happy! So are we! My grandpa is from Okinawa and we also spent a few years in Japan back in 97. We are very excited and specially proud of him. I know he will be a great missionary!
We had the opportunity of having him stay wih us for 4 days before sending him to Provo. It was so fun to see him. The kids loved him and he got to meet Isabel. We pretty much went on lunch/dinner trips for 4 days! He missed his favorite places to eat here so we had to have it all before he left.
Our first stop was Mangos!
Lucas was too busy eating chips and salsa and did not want to take pictures.
We love Mangos! Our favorite place for Mexican food! A must go for us!
After Mangos we went to one of his most favorite places ever; Costco! As soon as we walked in he said "man, how could I live without Costco for so long!"
I can't remember all the places we went, but we had a great visit with Sandra and Fred and then with Nan and Rob. The Hawkes' came over to visit with us. We went to blast off rockets after we spent some quality time together.
At some point we went to another favorite burger place: Zinburger!
We had a chance to go to church with him. It was so nice to sit with my brother in church. Miss him already!
We had lots of fun at home. Eduardo spent all his time teaching the boys Brazilian jiu-jitsu. While little Isabel loved to play just like the boys.
Then it was time for him to leave. Super fast trip, but we loved to have him and see him again. The kids lived him. I can't wait for him to come back from Japan... And come visit again.
Du, we love you! Do all you can do to be the best missionary and to do what Heavenly Father has planned for you. We pray that the people of Nagoya will open their homes and hearts to hear you and your companion. We love you and miss you!

We are back!
We have recently sent my brother, Eduardo to the MTC in Provo where he is getting ready to leave on his mission to Nagoya, Japan. We are so excited about his mission. He will be able read our blog and keep up with our family news.
Now that my blogger is back on my cell phone ( Lucas deleted it a million times) I will be updating more often! :)
