Lauren's Baptism

This June Lauren turned 8 and was baptized by Andy.

Andy' parents came down for the weekend, and the kids were spoiled as usual....

We had a picnic at the park...

Andy's parents brought hand-made American Girl doll beds from Utah...Brooke became the little doll...

We were fortunate that Lauren had a piano recital the same day, so Andy's parents were able to see Lauren do that as well...

Lego Land

We headed to Lego Land the day after Thanksgiving and we loved it!  We took the girls to Disneyland 2 summers ago and had a great time, but I might have liked Lego Land even more.  It seems less intimidating than Disneyland--the parking is easier, the rides are smaller, and the lines shorter.  We managed to get Brooke to sleep in the stroller for an hour, which is a miracle, so we were able to stay a little later.  Poor Andy is usually the "chaperone" for the rides during activities like this, as I can't stand any sort of motion like spinning or swaying...

This is the one ride I went on, and it about killed me...up, down, up, down...puke.

Idaho--July 2012

After 3 days in Utah entertaining the kids sans spouse, I picked up Andy at the airport and we headed north for our annual jam-packed, all-inclusive, fun on the lake vacation with Andy's family...We fished, swam, boated, 4-wheeled, tubed, kayaked, and a whole lot more...

This is the view from the house balcony--Charlie sat in this pile of sand everyday playing with trucks

I have to laugh because I have a photo exactly like this from last year--Kate with her thumbs up in the air for the boat to go faster, and her cousin T with her thumbs down for the boat to slow down--didn't matter the speed, they both wanted faster/slower...

Every year Andy's parents do quite the "money dig"--piles of sand filled with quarters, half-dollars and gold dollar coins--each of the kids end up with quite the cup of money...

Lauren finally agreed to try knee-boarding--so fun and easy--she loved it...

Utah--July 2012

Gotta break our Utah/Idaho trip down into a few different posts--I went up 3 days early with kids and stayed in Utah with my family and friends.  We visited BYU, Temple Square, my relatives, and family friends from my side...

Hopefully this is the first of many meals in the Cougar Eat for these kids...

We walked around BYU with Allison and her kids...

The kids were wiped out after so much "going"--even Lauren fell asleep, which NEVER happens.

Visiting Great-Grandma Purcell...

Luckily Uncle Ryan let us crash his bachelor pad--he was probably ready for some silence after the noise of 4 kids!
