Bloggers Remorse!

Oh man! I haven't done a blog for sad to say....almost a year! It haunts me everyday when I hear about other peoples blogging and printing all their cute books! I have made a goal to catch up and for as long as I've put it off it's now time! My goal is to be all caught up from the past year in a couple months which means LOTS and LOTS of posts!! I figure if I do 2 a day I can do it! So all my posts will be backdated so it looks like I was never a major slacker! :o) I'm a little rusty but here it goes....

Halloween Fun

This Halloween was a lot of fun! Since the actual Halloween day was on a Sunday we got to celebrate Friday and Saturday. The whole month of October Beckem said he wanted to be Diego off of the show "Go Diego Go." I tried to find a perfect costume and they were all not up to par for this cute little guy so we talked him into being a football player. Since he is obsessed with football it wasn't very hard! My cousin Amber let us borrow this costume and from the second he tried it on it was a done deal! He wanted Taylee to be his cheerleader so we finally found her a costume from Gymboree. They were so cute together!
We started out by going to Tyler's work party at XanGo. The kids both love to show off and had so much fun getting the candy from all the different places.

My mom was sweet enough to come with me and join the party like she did the year before! Beckem loves his "Mama Shar"

When we made it to the top of the building we had donuts from lehi bakery and hot chocolate. For some reason a glazed donut in a square tastes so much better than a circle! Delicious!

Beckem kept saying "Tay wants me to hold her" so we tried to take a picture of them by each other and she didn't want anything to do with it!

We then went over to my Dad's work and Beckem was excited to see his Great Grandpa Duff who just turned 82 and still goes to work at the shop everyday! Our next stop was to Doug Smith Autoplex for the trunk or treat. The Smiths are good family friends and the kids had a lot of fun last year so we tempted it again.

I think it's time for a double stroller!
Taylee was so impressed with all the candy people kept dropping in her bucket. It never got old for her.
They got to pick a pumpkin at the end and of course Beckem picked the baby one for Taylee and the big one for him since he kept telling me he has lots of muscles!
We went out to Brick Oven to eat with my family then our last stop was to visit Grandma Taylor at the Seville.
She was sure excited to see the great grandkids but was embarrassed her hair wasn't done!

Taylee is now getting to the stage where she wrestles Beckem right back and he thinks it's hilarious.
His favorite part about visiting Great Grandma Taylor is pushing around her walker. He was kind enough to give his sister a lift!

Such priceless pictures...

Four generations

On Saturday we went and celebrated with the Wagners. It was a cold rainy night so we mainly hung out at the house. Beckem thought it was more fun to answer the door than to be the one knocking!

He was watching football and fit right in.
Taylee absolutely loves Harley. He is so patient with her and she loves to pet him and poke him. Definitely gets her liking of dogs from her dad not her mom!
We went up to Tyler's grandparents house at the end of the night to see his cousins that were in town from Idaho. They all had fun showing each other their candy and playing. Beckem and Taylee don't get to see these girls enough!
We had a very Happy Halloween and Beckem's already planning what he will be for next year!

Taylee's first haircut

My sister has been harrassing me for the past few weeks to cut Taylee's "wings/jewish curls." I swore I would never be the parent that had a hard time cutting the baby hair but I guess I didn't realize it was time! She started to rub all her curls off the back of her head so these were all she was left with! 2 perfect ringlets on the sides! haha Oh man, now they're gone I dont miss them :o) Taylee's grandma Shar gave her the first haircut. Grandma Kenna gave Beckem his so I guess it's my turn with the next one!

She was a little sad to see them go!
The finished product

Her brother was making her laugh by wearing Grandma's glasses
And there it is...I'm not saving it but my mom had to tape it to a card! :o)

Two Weeks and Growing...

Little Taylee Mckenna is getting so big! At her 2 week appointment she exceeded her birth weight by almost a pound! She was born weighing 7lbs 7oz and weighed 8lbs 4 oz at her 2 week visit. The Dr. said they're really excited when babies are back up to their birth weight by this visit and that I must be producing straight cream! She was 20 3/4 inches long and I can't remember her head but it was in the 50%. Her weight and height were both about 75%. She is seriously the best baby ever! I couldn't ask for more. She sleeps anywhere from 2-4 hours at a time and only gets up to eat during the night then falls back asleep nursing. She is a gem! Beckem is such a good big brother. The first few days were hard because he kept saying "ME!" and wanting me to hold him, change him, sleep with him, etc. and when I couldn't because I was taking care of her he would hit me or even worse, the baby. He discovered quickly that she was here to stay and now every waking moment he wants to know where she is and be right there. His new best friend is his step stool that he follows me around with. Whatever I'm doing he's right by my side helping or watching. So cute! The only bad part is he can reach the snacks, scissors, baby, bathroom sink, and all the other fun things he finds to get into. He loves his "Baby TayE" and is really a big help to me in going to get things when I dont want to! :o) My friend Amber took these adorable pics of Taylee. Check her out at Amberdphotos.blogspot.com. We are loving being the parents of 2 beautiful kids!!

Happy Birthday Mike!

Kenna hosted a fabulous birthday dinner for my father in law on his birthday. We had one of my all time favorite foods....crab legs! Here she is trying to stab him with one of the claws! :o) Beckem and Izzy dug in early so we could actually enjoy our dinner without trying to wrestle them the whole time. Izzy really likes crab and kept saying "I need more crab!" Beckem liked grandma's sparkling jello that had sprite in it. We had this great big bowl in the middle to throw the shells into and it was so much fun! Wish I could eat like that everynight!
The grandkids had fun helping grandpa blow out his 49 birthday candles :o) He loves peppermint dessert so that's what he had!
Mike is such a great grandpa to the kids. They really love him to death because he's always right down there on the floor playing with them and giving them horsey rides and wrestling with Beckem. He is a very involved grandpa and even does his fair share of babysitting!
I think these 2 hold a special place for each other and are such cute little buddies. Beckem loves his Papa and we're so lucky to have him in our family!
Happy Birthday Mike! We love and appreciate you!!
