Super Saturday

Thais planned out a fun Saturday, and we had a blast. Here is how it went down...

We started the day playing with the toy that the dentist made for Emilia:

We then went for a late morning swim at the pop up pool in Brooklyn:

Had Juliana's Pizza for lunch:

Went for a Carousel ride after lunch:

And we're off...

Then we played by the Manhattan & Brooklyn bridges for a while:

Had ice cream at the park (you don't actually get to see the ice cream because Thais didn't like how she looked in those pictures):

Then finished the fun day with dinner, a bath, and story time:

Thanks mom for planning such a fun day!!!

Bebe is gonna sleep good tonight :-)

And then we had a baby...

Emilia was born December 10, 2012

7:33am

10 days past my due date

On the day of my Patho final, and a week before my other final

I was not induced

I was studying for my final while in labor determined I was gonna make it

I didn't

She weighed 7lbs 12oz

I didn't get the epidural till I was 8cm

I had the labor I wanted, with a small set back of a 4th degree tear (oh yeah!)

She's now four months old

We love her

And yes, I am still in graduate school

Those finals? 94 and 92 respectively

Taken 10 days and 7 days postpartum respectively

One day old at Mt. Sinai

2 weeks old

Almost 6 weeks on her Blessing Day

Almost 4 months old on Easter

She sure is cute!

The NY Mets

As part of our summer bucket list we headed to a Mets game in late September.

And the real reason I go is for food. Sarah and Scot joined us for it.

They played the Florida Marlins and won in the end. The Mets stadium and fans were much nicer than Yankee ones. We've decided Mets is the way to go.

Marriage Texts

29 weeks

Background: I had planned on going to see Porgy and Bess on Broadway since Tyler has a basketball game tonight.

Thais: Hey Husband
I decided to skip the theater tonight

Tyler: Hey Wife
          Okay

Thais: Maybe tomorrow or thursday

Thais (20 min later): ooo I should do the matinee tomorrow with my white haired friends

Tyler: Good idea. You move around about as fast as them now and have similar aches and pains. You'll fit right in. ;-)

Thais: :-P
           Not nice

Tyler: Oh cummon. You thought it was funny.

Thais: I did. :)

I sure love him.

Central Park Conservatory Gardens

21 Weeks

This weekend we took the doggies on their first subway ride. Up to 103rd st and then a walk through the Central Park Conservatory Garden. It was a beautiful cool day in New York. We got to the gardens a bit late in the day and had to rush through it a bit before they closed.

We then walked down and through the park and got to Ciao Bella in the UES right before it closed to get some gelato.

Poor Oliver almost didn't make it home. It was a long walk.

A baby!

We are halfway through with this pregnancy. It is crazy to me that it's going by so fast. I am one of the few people I know who is not anxious to meet their little one. I kind of like the baby in my belly at this point. I am not uncomfortable or huge. I look cute, pregnant but cute. And I have a full Fall semester I need baby to stay put in my belly for, so I can finish graduate school on time. :)

Our doctor is amazing. He practices differently than all doctors I have ever been to and does ultrasounds every visit in his office. He does it himself even. Our last visit we got to find out what we are having. We weren't quite sure we wanted to at first since we won't have a nursery in our one bedroom place, but decided to do it anyway because it is easier for everyone.

It is a little girl!

We are so excited! We love little girls and I am so happy to have been blessed with one. It looks like she has my lips and long fingers like Tyler. I'm hoping this means she'll be blessed with his piano playing abilities. Here's to more pink things in my life.
