Phone Update July/August

Things have been going well. The kids are happy, healthy and growing and learning more and more each and every day. I couldn't ask for more as their mother. Here are a handful of pictures pulled off my phone from July and August highlighting the everyday happenings of the Vidal children.

We have enjoyed 9 a.m. church this year. I will be sad when we switch to 11:00 next year. 9 is my favorite. Here are the cute kids ready for church.

One of my friends gave us a bag of costumes. This bag has provided hours and hours of dress-up fun.

7-18-2017
Cora told me she needed my phone to take a picture of the sky. I love the sunsets in the desert. I love even more that my sweet Cora also notices the beauty. She has done this a few times. I love it.

Poor Levi had a horrible cough. I am so grateful that I have this breathing machine. It has saved me many times.
7-23-2017
The kids wanted to help with dessert. This is not a rare thing as they always want to help. What's new here is that Jude helped for the first time. He had so much fun.
7-27-2017
I made flan in my Instant Pot! It was deeeeeelicious! I have yet to try cheesecake, but I hear it's just as good.

7-29-17
A young man was baptized in our ward named Justin. It was such a nice turn out from all the young men to show him their support.

Torie stopped by on her way home for a short break from school. The kids love when any of their cousins visit, but they were very excited to have Torie. The oldest three stayed up late and played games, went over to grandmas and had ice cream. They loved the special treat of being one of the "big kids."

Uncle Eddy brought over some bugs he found in his garden. The kids were fascinated.

This is a good place to pop a video that includes a little more of those bugs. Also, I especially like the clip of JJ and Conley talking about not paying taxes. It looks a little scripted. That's only because the camera came out. Right before I started filming them there were having a very serious conversation about how they aren't going to pay taxes. They are just simply going to refuse. Good luck kids.

Conley and Bradley had sealants placed on their teeth.
Bradley also had a small cavity filled. He was a champ. We love our dentist, Dr. Chad Ellsworth.

After Conley was done and Bradley was having his turn, I noticed Conley had Turtlee in his pocket. I asked him why he had it. He told me he brought it along just in case he needed something to squeeze while he was getting his sealants. Conley is so tender. I just love that he thought of that. He had no frame of reference or comparison for the pain he may endure getting his sealants. He didn't know that it was pretty simple and pain free. He just thought, "Dental work . . . hmm, gonna need a security blanket of some sort." I think it is sweet. I love Conley.

For mutual Anthony taught the youth how to spray paint planets. We have done this a few times with the ward and a bunch of times with our own kids and nieces and nephews. It is always a big hit.

We love having Dawson come along to mutual.

I love Bradley's eclipse. He tells me he puts it in all of his planet posters. I looked at some of his old ones at home and sure enough, it's his little artistic signature.
I love Brother Grant's Death Star and Tie Fighter.

Planet painting footage

It was a great night. Everyone did a great job creating their own little universes.
Then we turned around and saw what was created for us. Gorgeous.

It's an end of an era. We have had this high chair since Bradley as born. 6 Vidals and countless others have used it. It's worked wonderfully, but it is time to say goodbye.
8-3-2017
I don't typically take pictures of my food. But, sushi is it's own category. It's always so pretty.
8-9-2017
The kids get pretty mesmerized by fancy cars. They always tell me to take pictures. So, I end up with a lot of pictures of fancy cars on my phone. I wanna say Ferrari.
8-9-2017
Cora wanted me to take this picture in a parking lot. She misses her cousins.
8-10-2017
Charlie has turned one! She is such a sweetie.

8-12-2017
Jamison's shower creation. She takes soooo long in the shower. This is usually why.
8-12-2017
More delicious and beautiful sushi. We went out twice in August. Sushi is a rare treat. We love it.
But this sushi night was with Sam, Kaylee and their cute kids.

8-13-2017
I've pretty much been using my Instant Pot all the time. I made salt potatoes, roast and gravy. All in the Instant Pot.
8-19-2017
Thanks for the help Jude! I love this kid.
8-19-2017
This was delicious.
8-21-2017
He was so proud of himself for eating the whole egg white around the yolk and not breaking the yolk. It's now the trick to try every time we have fried eggs.
8-22-2017
Anthony found an online deal for Converse. Conley loved his! Jamison got a pair too and Cora. But, Cora's won't fit for awhile.
8-24-2017
Dr. Wirig placed a power band in Bradley's mouth. We are about 9 months in to his treatment and he is looking super handsome.
8-25-2017
Auntie Ann found this adorable outfit for Jude. He puts it on and says he wants to go to Abuelo's house.
8-27-2017
Another before church picture. I always tell Jude, "don't smile!" Works every time. Oh, and see the Honda in the background? Anthony bought his dad's Camry and sold the Honda. We are blessed with the change. The Honda had 155,000 miles on it and was starting to give us headaches. The Camry has 32,000 miles and will treat us well for awhile.
8-27-2017
After I got home from Education week (I'll add a link to this blog post later) I just had to try my hand at the famous BYU mint brownies. They turned out delicious.
8-31-2017
Well-check time for these sweeties.
Jude - 29 pounds and 36 inches tall.  He's in the 24th percentile for height and 39th for weight. I told the doc that he's in the 100th percentage for tantrums, fit throwing and being adorable.
Cora - 53 pounds and 50 inches. 80th percentile for height 57th for weight. She told the doctor some pretty disturbing things. She said she was gonna burn down the school and kept talking in this evil maniacal voice. She even scared me.
Dr. Hodapp got a kick out of her.
Levi - 42 pounds and 42 inches. Easy to remember, huh? This puts him in the 75th percentile for height and the 80th for weight. He is doing great.
8-31-2017
And finally, a little packing paper for Cora to become Rapunzel. All in all a good few weeks.
